"Hello, my name is Joanan, better known as "Tony Tormenta", from Mexico City.

At very early age my taste for music has been differently influenced by my family, cousins ​​and uncles - they taught me bands that I have never heard in my childhood, like Dance, House and Synthpop.

Inspired by "EBG", "Art of Noise", "Propaganda", "East of Wall", in a mature ageI was discovering them, the best bands without a doubt.

It was until 2003 in the Love Parade that took place in Mexico, listening to all those sounds, and seeing how the deejay was the center of the movement, I wanted to be like them and stir the dancefloor up. That experience led me to meet many people who today I consider my best friends, who gave me the opportunity to show my work as a DJ. 'Subway Club', 'Seek My Beat' and where now is my home 'Terror Clash'."

Tony Tormenta was born as a project, as a synthesis of the Disco, House, EBM, Electro, Breaks, Techno trash and Darkwave, those same styles has taken me to important venues in the city: Kinky, Rico Club, Uta, La Mezcali, Real Under, Allende Red, Madero. Club, Pasaguero, (to mention a few), in addition to sharing a booth with the legends of the Mexican scene.

Right now I'm working to launch myself as a producer "Desparate Jon" for the firm "Dance Mania Records", which we are in talks with Parris Mitchell.

A different world, my world, the House music. my definition of House music...

This mixtape that I present for Tracklistings I played the "real under", including music from labels like Veyl, X Img, Clone R, Clandestine, Brute R., Vi-c-ra Rec, plus many more. Enjoy!

Aria Series 45th episode presents: EKATA.

London based Dj/Producer EKATA is self-described as genre and sound obsessive. She has built a reputation as a huge advocate for Electro and a creator of a dark and warped experience. Her sound best personifies ominous grooves and obvious sci-fi fixations which embody her carefully picked selections and the journey she takes you on. 


EKATA has just announced her debut release on 'planet destroyed' - a VA by AVOIDANT, the Electro sister label of Soma records due for release on the 5th of Dec 2022.

Other artists featured on the same VA are long standing top tier artists such as Marcel dettman, Slam, terrestrial Access Network + many more. 


EKATA has also just recently been selected along with a couple of other artists as one of the new faces of the biggest music institution in the world - TRESOR in Berlin, which saw her play in the prestigious cage in September 2022. 

Aswell as many gigs in Berlin this year, she has just joined leiden agency in France so has an exciting 2023 in the pipeline.


You can catch EKATA this Friday the 2nd on HöR in Berlin for the Avoidant showcase with Slam djs and Ngoni. Then in the evening she's closing crack bellmer for fan fiction.

For the 34th edition we welcome Extase Urbaine to our mix series.
With his roots in Amsterdam’s DIY scene, Extase Urbaine has been quick gaining a momentum, achieving local and international recognition.
He is the co-founder and resident DJ of HDE, a collective dedicated to pushing the boundaries of underground clubbing. HDE nights quickly became among Amsterdam’s most recognized parties, known for their multidisciplinary approach to the dance floor.
His DJ sets cross weave genres, scenes, past and present, blending everything from body music and techno, to electro and trance-y explorations.
Extase has released music on independent record labels such as Soil and Ferma, and is soon putting out an EP with Slow Motion/Wrong Era imprint and Budapest’s Dalmata Daniel.
