​Photographer Meryl Meisler forged her identity as she photographed the
rollicking humanity of 1970s New York. She shot go-go girls clutching
wrinkled dollar bills, punk rockers backstage at CBGB, circus performers at
Madison Square Garden, and bouncers watching over Studio 54. Meisler
has always been drawn to the noisy, crowded places where New Yorkers
could just be themselves, and was often seen dancing in discos with her
camera at the ready.

Grace Jones is a Jamaican-American model, singer, songwriter, record
producer and actress.
Hans Lundgren, better known as Dolph Lundgren, is a Swedish actor,
filmmaker, and martial artist.
They met while she was touring Australia and he was working as a
bouncer, providing security for artists at concerts, which would turn into a
four-year love affair.

“I took the photo during the performance of No Fun. Iggy’s lyrics speak to the
boredom felt by teenages growing up in midwest USA at the end of the
Sixties. Towards the performance’s end, Iggy may have wanted to avoid that
same plight of boredom by yelling to the audience: “Alright now! Get up here
and dance with me!!”

Antoine Veling is a photographer in Sydney where he lives with his family and
other pets. He is an avid reader and collector of books on photography.His
Credo is based on the words of Paul Strand: “I photograph the mundane world
immediately around me as a record of my living and, affected as I am by other
people’s ways, I strive to free myself of them to reach my own.”

Iggy Pop is Iggy Pop. For those who don’t know, he hates techno music.

Nusantara is the name of maritime Southeast Asia and in general refers to the Indonesian Archipelago. It is also the name of the new capital of Indonesia. Following my short visit to various records stores, mainly on Java Island, I stumbled upon many ear-catching local productions. The temple compound consists of a bathing structure, famous for its holy spring water, where Balinese Hindus go to for a ritual purification called Melukat. Next to that is a pond with many colourful fish.
