Bulgarian dark mastermind MANASYt/Sam Lowry (Petar Tassev) has been rocking his own brand of  Nurolektro since 2003. 

He’s responsible for a vast array of menacing titles on labels such as Bunker, Touchin' Bass, Kommando 6, Musar and about 40 other labels worldwide. 

An artist that couldn’t care less about trends nor hypes, and whose main driving force is that authentic passion for the genre.

Some of his tunes resemble a future horror movie soundtrack, others a visit to a mental clinic but most sound like what exactly hostile aliens would listen to while attacking Earth.

Currently based in Xiamen, China.

Mei's style is unusually detailed in description, reflecting her propensity for experimentation. As someone who enjoys pushing the boundaries, she is always where you least expect her to be. Throughout the early 2000s, Mei has set the standard for experimenting with abstract electronica and dark ambient music. She has ready several singles, EPs, and full-length albums. Her launch is set to go.
Her musical journey has evolved over the years through a mosaic of experiences and creations. It began with "PARTURA," an epic released in 2016 under UOVOOO/MORR MUSIC/ANOST. Exploring cosmogonies, it views life through a mythological lens, capturing the essence of original narratives and universal evolution, showcasing her love for symbols and contemplation.
This journey led Mei to new sounds, delving deeper into her own emotions. In 2022, "CARNATION" emerged as an EP illustrating her ability to navigate between serenity and chaos, intensely celebrating nature. The same year, "AUTOPSY" was born, reflecting her incessant need for innovation, both sonically and visually. Through this EP, MEI asserts herself as a multidisciplinary artist, ready to challenge conventions.
MEI’s commitment to the ideas she holds dear took shape with the track "HEARTLESSLY" in 2022 and 2023. In 2023, she collaborated with Jean-Louis Costes on "EQUINOXE," a preview of her upcoming album, "LES ÉTATS DE LA MATIÈRE." This piece, influenced by the "Cadavres Exquis" artistic movement, captures her desire to explore human complexity through art.
Each work is a chapter in her artistic journey, an invitation to dive into her universe, rich in emotions and discoveries.

Strange But Dance Music LIVE #21: MEI

Harlem is a duo from Stockholm formed in 2003. Known for their elastic, easy-on-the-feet approach to beat-based electronic music, their sound is at once disturbing, free-spirited, and sludgily hooky. The band has released a string of highly acclaimed albums, EPs, and 12 inches on labels like Veyl, Body Musick, and Marguerite, garnering them a feverishly devoted international fanbase. An upcoming EP will soon be released by Milan-based label Marguerite Records.

Harlem is producer Johan Skugge and producer/vocalist Martin Thomasson. Since the band's start, they have shared creation duties equally to a fault. With over 20 years of music-making and live performances, Harlem fuses and forges a wide range of influences and impulses with an effortless command into vocal-driven, loosely electro-tinged tracks.

Continuously gravitating towards the space in between sounds, ideas, and rhythms, their music is characterized by a certain propulsive, nervous restlessness. Their sensibility is formed by a love for a wide range of music like electro, techno, ebm, new beat, dub, UK grime, Memphis hip hop, cheap horror flick music, and musique concrete, resulting in rhythmically infectious trash electro. 

Harlem makes outsider music available to anyone open to having their nervous system shocked into sweet oblivion. Described as "art happening before the audience's eyes", Harlem's live performances are singularly bizarre experiences where the band draws on the room's atmosphere to create a real sense of emergency and urgency.
