Musique de Lune opens the spring season by welcoming Hassan Maroofi and David Charpentier to the label for their debut EP. Born in Iran but now calling Costa Rica home, Hassan Maroofi first emerged a short two years ago with a contribution to Buddhabrot's 'Constellations' collection. Immediately recognized for his nostalgic progressive sound, the San Jose resident would go on to showcase his music via 3rd Avenue, Nature Rec, RYNTH and The Purr across the next two calendar years. Also highly regarded as a DJ, Hassan has been a fixture of Costa Rica's nightlife for well over a decade, performing alongside top international talents such as Guy Gerber, Hernan Cattaneo, Marco Carola, Satoshi Tomiie and more. Meanwhile, David Charpentier has also achieved great success across his nearly two decades as a DJ. As a fixture of Costa Rica's nightlife, David has performed alongside Dubfire, Guy J, Hernan Cattaneo, Jody Wisternoff and Nick Warren, amongst others. Paired together as studio partners since last year Hassan and David now follow projects for 3rd Avenue, Massive Harmony and The Purr with their Musique de Lune debut 'Sepia'.

French talented Producer with a long experience in the electronic music scene, and holding releases on imprints such as Univack, The Purr and Souksonic to name a few, Florian brings three profound and beautiful themes sharing his finest melodies on this release. Title theme is crafted by crystalline plucks and vocals with a introspective feeling, building the track harmony in perfect balance. Our A&R Rabiee Ahmad in partnership with Hassan Tariq Khan, created a stunning version of "Orange Sanguine", adding a progressive rolling groove making it a delightful dancefloor version.Next is "Clementine", presenting deep grooves, rolled into the peculiar texture and melody from Florian. Completing the EP, "Pamplemousse" brings an atmospheric vibe and smooth chords with a deeper introspective feeling. Definitely a must-have for progressive house lovers.

Second track on the EP is 'Calling Out', a collaboration with Berlin's creative mind Melouie. Together, they have produced an electronic downtempo track, quiet melancholic and chilled out, reflecting their respective emotional landscapes. 'Calling Out' is led by doubled vocals, a playful bassline and many textured effects. You should be surprised !

Back on his HIFI/LOFI home base, Franz Matthews continues his habit of turning up in unexpected sonic spaces. Night Tales finds him delving into a more introspective, deep, and melancholic palette, while preserving the organic warmth and groove-driven energy that define his ever-evolving sound.

 The EP’s opening tale, Again, takes us on a melancholic night ride through the ever-repeating ups and downs of life, where darkness and light follow one another in an endless cycle - soundtracked by an orchestra of lush synths, soft rhodes melodies, dreamy guitars, and Franz’s delicately crafted vocals.

Howling at the Moon dives deeper into the night, driven by hypnotic percussion, dark synth stabs, and haunting vocals that summon a sense of collective trance. The track builds toward a wordless vocal chant that feels both human and otherworldly, unfolding into a swaying, almost tango-esque groove where rhythms subtly intertwine.  Closing the EP, You & I stands apart — restored from a nine-year-old lost writing session, this nostalgic yet hopeful electronic pop track felt right at home within the EP, where its warm house textures and Lights Out’s delicate, heartfelt vocals wrap up these Night Tales with a timeless sense of longing and connection.
