On 3rd December Tough Love will release the self-titled debut album from Brighton’s The Soft Walls.

Recorded over the space of nine months, The Soft Walls is the product of time spent in solitude by Cold Pumas member and Faux Discx overseer, Dan Reeves. Incorporating a broad palette of sonic textures that include psychedelic folk, ambient & found sounds, lo-fidelity garage, disjointed krautrock, and the more inward-looking mutations of house, the diverse range of influences on show ultimately forge what is a very singular and unique vision.

Thick with the fog of tape static, claustrophobic ambience and the cavernous effect applied to Reeves’ vocal, The Soft Walls conjures a similar turn-of-the-century anxiety as that of peers Women and Liars. However, there remains something suitably European in The Soft Walls’ unease, at once close heat, then slanting rain. It’s increasingly rare to find music of this type made in Britain and it’s the Otherness of The Soft Walls noise and invention that allows it to stand-alone.

Previously released via Reeves’ Bandcamp page and as a limited edition cassette on Suplex, Tough Love are now making the record available on limited edition vinyl (100 copies only) as well as through all the usual digital services.

Echopark is the new project from London-based Italian musician Antonio Elia Forte. Born in a tiny rented-room in Whitechapel, the record ‘Treesʼ was recorded almost entirely there with just a handful of microphones.

For Antonio it is something that fights to be imperfect. It's a work full of errors, raw sounds and millions of voices overlapping, given birth during days off and weekends. The goal was to capture and freeze the moment when a song comes to light, the emotions that fill the air at that precise instant.

Antonio’s hometown is Lecce, Italy’s equivalent of LA’s Echo Park. Known as the “California of Italy” Lecce, is located in the south of the country, a paradise where it is always warm & home to an ardent underground movement of bands, skaters & surfers.

Antonio’s first contact with music came aged five. While his father was out working, he’d steal his guitar and play.  From thirteen onwards Antonio has gigged, all over Italy and elsewhere. The stage is where he feels most strong, most confident. Echopark will make the transition from bedroom to concert venue this spring; with a full band assembled.

'Trees' is released worldwide on 16th April as a digital download/CD. 'Teleportation' is the first single to be released from the album, as a free download.

Building upon the tradition of both historic labels, FANTASY (est. 1949) and VANGUARD RECORDS (est. 1947) now primarily encompass rock and alternative releases. The label's roster includes both established artists such as Tedeschi Trucks Band as well as promising young talent such as the dynamic The Marcus King Band.

Brothers Max and Sol Weiss started FANTASY from their plastic molding business in 1949, and the label was historically a multi-genre, eclectic home for a diverse roster of artists local to the San Francisco bay area, and music ranging from rock to funk to jazz to soundtracks. Fantasy began hitting platinum many times over with Creedence Clearwater Revival in the late 1960s and enjoyed tremendous success due to iconic albums from The Vince Guaraldi Trio (A Charlie Brown Christmas), Tony Bennett (The Tony Bennett/Bill Evans Album), and many others, as well as soundtracks from Academy Award-winning films One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, Amadeus and The English Patient.
