With the season beginning to turn, I felt the time was right for a deep mix with a more moody and shifting energy. This one moves between a few realms - at times melodic, at times dubby - always with a strong sense of feeling lingering in the air. We pushed back the publication of a podcast by @christianvoldstad several days to have it coincide with the 2nd anniversary of Rambalkoshe because this piece of music is reminiscent of the state we were in these past two years, from the most incredible sleepless nights and slowly breaking dawns to the first breakfasts with home-grown boiled eggs, from the first music sessions for some 40 people to DZEN for 1000+, from the exhibitions of Kupikazu and Davit Yukhanyan to the launch of “homard” project, from musicians who filled this home with inspiration to those who became a part of it, from people who found their significant others here to those who came to enjoy their solitude. We really had the most terrific and unreal two years of our lives for which we are grateful to ourselves, our friends and all those who believed in us. Amen.

P.S. Irenic [ʌɪˈrɛnɪk; ʌɪˈriːnɪk] describes something that is peaceful and promotes moderation or conciliation. In Greek mythology, Eirene was  the goddess of peace.

Farid is an international DJ/Producer based in DC. He has been playing for 15 years in DC and Beirut but also Paris, Berlin and NYC. He is now focusing on live sets and collaborating with various artists for live performances and studio productions. He also curates music for public and private events and restaurants. He has performed live recently under the Lonely People project (https://www.instagram.com/lonelypeoplemusic/) and with the District Coalition, a fusion of electronic, classical, hip hop and rock (https://www.instagram.com/districtcoalition/).
