In memory of Eddie Van Halen, Rest In Peace...

In my quest for rediscovering Eddie Van Halen’s music, the music of my youth, I am choosing to make covers of the less obvious material, not the hits or typical guitar shredders choices. I prefer to explore the ones that in my view are cool songs, and also highlight Eddie talent as a songwriter. Of course making these covers pose to me the possibilities of really getting into Eddie’s unique and peculiar playing style when taking the lead. I would have loved to hear a full instrumental album from Eddie, the more so when you hear him experimenting in the studio (yes, there are some recordings where Ed and his brother are testing then new material) without the vocal parts. Songs like Girl Gone Bad are basically instrumentals with some Dave vocals added. Also most albums contain intros and instrumentals where Eddie shows us sneak peaks of his extended capabilities. Imagine a full album like that, maybe the music vault in his home studio is full of it...

Anyways, I am approaching these covers in that light, trying to play them in honor of Eddie as instrumentals, where I feel free to  use the playing style I loved and learned from him in my earliest years playing guitar. Thank you Eddie... For everything...

Hello all wonderful music creators and listeners.
A sad and serious warning to you all.
One week ago, my music computers were hijacked and encrypted by some pig cock hacker. Even though I have a very strong virus protection.
15 years of creative work is now encrypted with the so-called vpsh virus. All pictures and films from our trips to England, New Zealand, Iceland, my beloved grandson's baptism as well as all family pictures and films etc. are also encrypted.
Of course, I have cleaned my computers both lengthwise and crosswise several times. And I have had to put the affected disks aside with the quiet hope that the security companies will eventually find a way to restore them in the future.
But damn the one who gives up!
This song with Snowflake was the last one I created before this happened and by chance I had this premix mp3 file in another place. Since I can no longer open the files in my studio program and mix it completely, you have to make do with what is left of this work. Hope you have a nice listening despite that.
I will of course continue to create and will never give in to threats and blackmail!
So watch out and take care of all of you! Unfortunately, there is more than one virus to worry about in our world today.
