Drush emerges from the pixelated haze to make his debut on Fast Castle. "Archipelago" is a collection of three versatile and playful post-dancehall hybrids with plenty of bass and full of creativity. Recorded in improvised live takes in Drush's NK hideout, the cuts feature signature progressive arrangements and an unpolished live feel. 

Taking up the full depth of Side A, "Birds and Bass" kicks things off with pitched percs, sharp drums and a pulsating bass before a psycho-bird melody lifts you to a lucid dance craze. The flip shines light on a sunnier vibe with "Archipelago" and "Flat Earth Dub" both hoovering and modulating around soothing melodies, generous bass swells and occasional dub-outs

Mastering comes courtesy of Isabel at Olo Mastering while artwork duties are once again with Jonas at 200 Kilo.

Dub Raw /dʌb rɔː/ — crew, community and a label from South Russia

We cultivate soundsystem culture since 2011. We bring the idea and the heritage of soundsystem music through different tempos, genres and areas. From roots reggae to the front edges of bass music with a dub inna di heart. From dances in clubs, venues and abandoned factories to the famous Dub Raw camp, which annually gathers prominent representatives of the Russian independent bass scene and bass lovers from all over the country. We see our mission in representing our scene to the world and in sharing our passion for music. In the name of love, unity and peace.

Dieses Exemplar einer Unterart der Tanzbären (ursus saltatus rhythmicus) stöbert seine Beute bevorzugt entlang ausgesuchter Nebenarme der Hauptströme auf, wohl wissend, dort die exquisiteren Leckerbissen anzutreffen. Die Annehmlichkeiten eines schnellen Snacks sind ihm durchaus vertraut, wenn er mit Liebe zu ausgefallenen Menüs sein eigenes Süppchen kocht. Eine anfängliche, fast schon provokative Genügsamkeit kaschiert leicht die rigorose Konsequenz, mit der jener zutraulich wirkende Geselle dabei zu Werke geht.
Erst sorgfältig mürbe machen, dann scharf anschwitzen und anschließend geduldig unter reichlich Hitze im eigenen Saft köcheln lassen, am Ende kurz abschrecken — so gerät die Tanzfläche zu Teufels Küche. Erscheint sein Lauf meist stockend, stolpernd, bisweilen dissonant, entbehrt er dennoch
oder gerade deshalb nicht einer gewissen Sogwirkung, gibt man sich ihm hin. In diesem Sinne ist »bear with me« keine Bitte, sondern ein gut gemeinter Rat.
