Welcome back to another Transmission broadcasting from the HER 他 Transmission Mix Series, a weekly mix series showcasing amazing artists from around the world. For the 88th edition, we bring you a mix from none other than the Berlin-based DJ and Artist, Viscerale. 

Born in Hamburg and based in Berlin since 2011, Viscerale is an artist who found her passion for selecting music at a very young age. Beginning her musical career in classical piano, it was not until 201 when her first electronic music mixtapes began to appear, which saw her soon performing in clubs and venues across Europe including a 1-year residency at Ved Siden Af in Copenhagen and frequent appearances in Paris, London and clubs like Berghain and Säule. 

Driven by strong emotions and influenced genres from techno to trance to hardcore and all stops in between. Her mixes take the listener on a journey, one with high energy and many playful twists and surprises along the way, finding her comfort zone anywhere north of 140 BPM.

@inishn is a Nordic artist and DJ known for their fast-paced sound and intentional interweavings of trance, techno and queer divinity. After falling in love with dance music during their time in Berlin, they aim to challenge conformity through their artistic expressions.

In their hometown of Bergen, Norway, they focus on driving the creation of autonomous safer, accessible spaces for trans and minority people, through their passion project ‘A Guide to Empathetic Spaces’ and queer club concept, Spirals. In 2019 they co-founded Norway’s first ever Trangender Awareness Week and continued working with the community by mentoring music production to transgender youth.

In this exclusive DETECT mix for FOLD, they begin with a track by Ukrainian artist Katarina Gryvul, before they go on to collaborate with the Brazilian, Norwegian-based, artist and writer Nayara Leite - blending Nayara’s poem with Inish’s unreleased track ‘Nadir’.

Next up in the series is a real Copenhagen legend. The tallest of them all, keeper of an oldschool punishing record collection with gem after gem, and one of the fastest players there is when it comes to DJ sets: DJ Ibon. BunkerBauer resident, signed to Ectotherm Recording, and Fast Forward family! This mix represent his style indeed, fast, pounding, full of grooves and pleasant suprises.
