From home to the clubs, Mr. Manns (aka Ahmed Manns) has spent over a decade spinning mixes of funky house music at Elsewhere, Bossa Nova Civic Club, Lot45, Pianos, Eris Evolution, Izzy Rose, Rise Radio NYC and many others.

Simon Aksenfeld, known as For Future's
sake and Avenue F, Is a quintessential New Yorker and an influential figure in the city's dance music scene. Ukrainian born and New York raised, Aksenfeld studied at the prominent Broadway Dance Center, training as a professional ballroom dancer, and later would go on to learn alongside legendary house dancers Ejoe and Brian Green. This is where his love for house music began to take shape. 

Simon is one of New York City's most versatile vinyl only DJs, showmen, and storytellers, recognized by Spiritual Mental Physical NYC as an "exceptional talent and musical magician". seamlessly blending genres together, and knowing exactly when to amp up, pull back, and cruise control the energy of a room into the wee hours of the night. 

A respected crate digger and artful music curator, Simon can be found at the renowned Al Record Shop during the week, where he helms the store's famed dance music section (if you're lucky you may catch him spinning in the back when you pop by). 

Along with the former mentioned For Future's Sake credits his sound signature to his biggest musical influences, including legends Theo Parrish, Danny Krivit, DJ Harvey, Danny Tenaglia, and Toshi.

Opened doors in the fall of 2016 after handling buying / distro at Downtown 304 for over 4 years.

Started Second Hand Records simply as a way for the music that he loved exploring to meet in one physical space. 
Feeling the need to step away from our dependency on the web & the disconnect it creates, instead using it as a powerful tool of socio-exploration.
Music & dancing in social setting are something so essential to our species & one way to begin appreciating their effects, is by stripping away layers of conscious thought we acquire.
Replacing it with an understanding that some forms of communication do not present themselves in spoken language.
