The FKOF review:
"While we've featured Midnight City Records many a time on FKOF, we've never directly worked with imprint founder iNTRiKet. But he's come through with the goods on Through the Fog; a desolate stepper with distant and emotive synths. The tune carries tonnes of weight in the low end of the mix that disperses through iNTRiKet's use of gliding techniques. 

"The producer utilises panning to allow the percussive hits to scatter themselves within the sound field; creating an atmosphere much like cinematic curtains that close to lock you off. iNTRiKeT’s contribution to our FKOF Free collection, in celebration of his 400 followers on SoundCloud, suggests the producer is ready to move onto the next level. "Haunting atmospheres appear as Tusk One's Open Window opens up, slowly making room for the minimal beat patterns that set out a steady groove in the VIP. The main rhythm is far from a broken one, but don't be fooled - this isn't a standard journey through the mind of Tusk One.

"Mysticism fades in slowly like mist on a dark winter's morning, accompanied by distant and disconcerting percussion that doesn't immediately make sense. Synths waft in, joined by heavy sub that slowly reveals itself. The bass weight is of such quality it may still the hunger of any listener craving ground-shaking frequencies.

"A nascent growl gains strength as metallic hits fill the atmospheres that evolve around Dark Harmonics' Cubic Capacity. The track quickly descends into something increasingly evil, forcing the listener to feel the minimal percussion move.

Dark Harmonics - Cubic Capacity [FKOF Free Download]

"A resonating pad unfolds: a sweeping and scraping growl sneaks into the mix, hinting at complete destruction when the ‘distant cry’ becomes more apparent. The first 54 seconds of the mix are already flawless; the way its constructed is simply brilliant. Deafblind and Mesck are coming in with serious pressure – hold tight!  

  "The first drop is breath-taking: the lead is an constantly morphing organism, with a lot of emotion compressed into the background (thanks to the intense pad returning to the mix). The resonance of the reese/growl is beyond the level of normality: tearing into the listener's eardrums like no other. With the low-end, a perfect balanced kick-snare and the impeccable soundscapes, this is truly a collaboration to behold.   

"As the break commences, the fade out gives the elements some space to evolve into a higher state. The sweeping lead comes back in, slowly becoming more and more aggressive. The delay applied on certain elements really widens the stereo image, while the reverb on certain elements is also nicely applied. Although this was Deafblind & Mesck's first tune together, they outdid themselves with this one. An amazingly packed tune full of crisp percussion, mesmerising soundscapes and serious basslines."
