Cosmic Bridge welcomes Dutch producer TMSV, the alias of Tomas Roels, to its expanding roster with a four-track EP built for the adventurous sound system seekers. 

Over Out arrives a few years after Roels began sending demos and music to label boss Om Unit. As the TMSV sound evolved from Roels’ roots in the dubstep scene towards a more personal, refined take on the nexus between the various strains of high tempo bass music, his new material proved too irresistible for Om Unit. “I had to have these tracks,” the label head says of Over Out. “Just well produced good music that works on a system and isn’t limited by genre or scene rules.” 

The EP opens with the title track, a shuffling riddim that contrasts a rolling wobble bass against energetic drums. ‘Over Out’ sets the tone for the release and draws a line between TMSV’s past and where he sees himself heading. ‘Torpedo Riddim’ continues this theme with a deep, pitch-bent bass, time-stretch vocal samples, and loose drum rolls. A take on jungle that is equal parts nostalgic and current. The B side opens with ‘King David Riddim’, another dancefloor workout built around recognizable vocal and horn samples that draws inspiration from Chicago juke and filters its energy through the lessons of drum & bass and jungle. Closing proceedings we find ‘Rolla’ and another unmissable vocal sample from the annals of jungle music calling you back for one last dance. For this one, TMSV slides into the music’s ragga era and pulls from its tropes to build a solid, eyes-down production that oscillates between juke and techno repetition to create unshakable energy. 

TMSV is a fitting addition to the Cosmic Bridge family and Over Out announces the next step in his musical journey. Future dread music for the open minded.

London's JD comes correct with his previously mysterious instrumental, which now sees a release with Glasgow's @scotchbonnetrecords. His remix of a Mungo's Hi Fi original is lower in pitch, however dreading at a similar frequency, therefore making it an excellent addition to everyone's vinyl crate.

'SCRUB015' is set for release on limited single-sided 12-inch vinyl with Scotch Bonnet on 03/02/2017. Make sure to pick up this mammoth at your local vinyl dealer, it's simply too big to let go - please visit the buy-link attached...

Through These Eyes is very proud to announce a 12" from Moscow's very own Dub/Jungle production trio Champion Sound. Neekeetone, Distant Roots and General Koondoongoo made some respectable tunes on their own, but once they combined their powers as Champion Sound, the levels were rised higher. And although dubby jungle rhythms might not be the first thing that comes to mind when
you think of Moscow, this is the style these three producers from the Russian Federation have mastered in the last few years. Playing together in a reggae band and having a strong love for all things dub definitely helped a alot, too...
No wonder their tunes already got support from Moresounds, J:Kenzo, Sun People, Mister Shifter or Mystic Pulse and got played heavily on Rinse FM.

Om Unit brings his 'Mahakala' triology to a triumphant close with 2 more cuts of upfront breakbeat science.

First up, a VIP of 'Tomahawk' (from Mahakala02) taking the already innovative approach of sound design and layering of the original into a pure sound system roller, sounding not unlike a 1995 jump up classic, but with a much more darker, almost technoid edge that will have even a hardened soundboy gritting his teeth.

Following is 'Blue', a long-form jazzier piece with melancholic echoes of the past that would have sat well on labels like Nexus/Good Looking in the 90's, complete with live-sounding and consistently shifting break chops that are striking but inflected with subtlety throughout that are both restless but engaging. Both cuts are sure to do damage on the dance floor and bring this series to close with a bang!

The ‘Heartless Badboys’ saga continues; it’s the second volume of the Ep that follows in footsteps of the first one, with four tracks that cover a full spectrum of sounds and bpms ranging from dubstep to jungle, all 100% Numa Crew certified ammo.
The Ep starts off with a 140 dubstep track by Lapo; a melting pot of futuristic synth sounds and spacey atmospheres driven by dub drums, make ‘Automatic Soul’ the perfect track to start walking down the streets of Heartless Badboys.  
What follows is a mood change in track number two: Leon P & Ago bring dubstep back to the rave jungle era. ‘Juju’ is a mix of hardcore rave synths, hypnotic sounds and heavy breaks. Irie!  
T-Kay’s ‘Monarch’ changes up the tempo and guides us into the world of drum’n’bass with minimalist rolling drums, a punching snare and a ‘radar’ bass that spreads out like an alarm siren.  
Lurking in the darkest corners of the streets, XL Mad’s ’Death Valley’ suddenly jumps out to close the Ep, slowing down the tempo to a 128 bpm blend of ukg and afro riddim, raw grind bass combined with old skool jungle samples.
