"At Simply Deep, we care most about bringing you original, creative and innovative underground bass music, so we couldn’t be prouder to be unveiling this explosive four track expanse from our very own Namaste. As a project, we feel that ‘Hybrid’ showcases exactly what the Bristolian native is all about as a producer, that being ruthless bass maneuvers, crunchy beats and a general vibe of 140 finesse.

We begin our travels with the galactic expanses of ‘UV’, which puts a serious emphasis on wavy square leads, slithering freely up and down the musical spectrum on top of accepting drum work below. Next up, the title track itself: ‘Hybrid’, which begins with a selection of offkey plucks and thick atmospheric tensity, leading towards one heck of a drop. When it lands, you’ll know about it, as 8bit driven arpeggio like lead synths run ravenous as hungry wolves across sharp drum expanse, giving the track a real rise and fall feeling from start to finish.

This energy is somehow replicated as skip into the rolling dancehall style clap patterns and hypnotic synthesis of ‘Scarred Riddim’, with old school sounding brass instrumentation conjuring images of 06/07 grime instrumentals. Finally, we finish up our journey by fading into the more moogish yet melodic, eskimo infused arrangements of ‘Step Forward’, bringing a more heavily swung vibe to the table, finishing off a very exciting project in serious style. We can’t wait for you all to get stuck into this one."
