"The dynamic pads fade into the mix, nicely layered with the intense choirs that come closer and closer – introducing 'Anatheme' with great effect. Panning is used on some percussive elements, combined with a heavy pounding kick. Juss B creates an amazing climatic feel with the organic sounding hi-hats; simply turning it up a notch.  

"The drop hits with full force, a nice rolling low-end appears and continues to push serious weight towards the listener's ears. Further percussive elements appear in the mix, adding a mystical feel to the whole piece (along with a little tribal background). The kick continues to punch through while the snare accentuates things. There's a nice implementation of both samples from Juss B, bringing a proper balance.  

"Within the break the percussive elements come to the front and provide a similar climatic feel to the one heard at the intro of the tune. Accompanied by the returning pads and choirs, Juss B creates a journey the listener can get involved in. The second drop is heavy, all elements from the first part return and continue to flow with the high-impact percussion and deep rolling low-end. The track comes to an end in a proper way, closing off the journey the way it's supposed to be done. 

"Juss B shows that he's delivering serious rollers with a lot of depth and straight pressure, expect big things from him in 2013, including his http://soundcloud.com/vulcanaudio release – he's one to watch!"

“Fiend’s ‘Gully’ has an interesting intro; a repeating sample sets the mood without the listener being able to hear what’s actually being said. The kick pounds nicely while the hi-hat sets the pace, ready for heavy low-end to emerge. The descending soundscape adds to a climatic build-up before ‘Gully‘ drops...  

“At the drop, the kick blends into the low-end with the sub flowing around with a great force. The snare could come forward a bit and although the low-end is a little all over the place, it creates a hypnotic vibe that gives this tune a definite 'gully' twist. The wobbly samples add space within the tune, as new low-end patterns maintain the listener’s focus.   

“The break sounds similar to the intro, where the voice becomes a little clearer – but the rest is unchanged. The second drop contains a change in low-end patterns that continue to vibe through the sub-regions, as a pause brings in the sample again as the user can finally hear what’s being said. 

“Fiend lets the original drum patterns return, while samples from earlier in the tune make their return at different intervals. ‘Gully’ ends with heavy low-end patterns, as Fiend shows that he's capable of producing a heavyweight tune. Keep an eye on this guy!”

“The ‘layers’ of sinister soundscapes are one of the main strengths of this mix. They not only create a certain texture, but also give this track a completely different dimension. While heavy distorted and resonating basslines pass the listener’s eardrums, the ghost-like samples aim straight for the heart, preparing the listener for a big impact...  

“The first drop leaves creates some serious debris, through both the well-balanced mid- and low-ends. The kick pops nicely while the snare smashes the listener’s eardrums from one side to another. The massive low-end feels warm, but adds a frightening effect to the whole piece – excellent work from FJH! The one growl implemented has this distinctive tone that causes hairs to stand straight up. For the most part repetitive drum patterns controls the mix, with great panning effects added on top to widen the earlier mentioned dimensions.  

“The break shows some great development and the second drop hits even harder than the first. While the samples return in the mix, FJH is already working towards an ending with emotive keys that start to set in. ‘Layers’ sounds like an evolving organism, it’s hard to really define it – a truly powerful tune. The tune’s last breath is a vocal sample that combines with the haunting samples from earlier in the mix. These elements complete a tune that’s definitely for the real deepheads out there, enjoy!”

One would be hard pressed to find the sounds of Haack.  The tunes by this mysterious producer are kept deep in secure hard drive array accessible only to a few.  Sub Pressure is one of the few entities that has access to these dark and murky sounds.
