A collaboration that encompasses some of the games finest artists of generations with influences that span across a multitude of styles come together on one dnb single . A release thats built on friendships experiences, essentially following the path of safire that has brought together people around him… from mapping out ideas with Skeptical, DRS and Morph in Plasma’s melbourne studio to sipping a bottle of henessy at Zed Bias’s studio in Manchester, this release is as much of a story as a piece of music.

This single led by ‘With You’ by Skeptical, Safire, Morph & DRS – emotive, modern soul music driven by DRS vocals infused with sculpted drums that punch deep, finely tuned tonalies and atmospheres that make you feel what soulful drum and bass lovers yearn. This track is an instant classic that won’t be forgotten in the stream of modern content, you hear each artists influence within each element of the production which has been intertwined harmoniously.

Following with you is ‘set the bar’ bringing influences of Jazz and Soul to a 174bpm track. Kicking off half time giving the sense of a warm comfortable Jazz bar with swaggy laid back vocals from DRS and refined sophisticated elements from Zed bias that builds into a summer smasher, fusing technical production and rolling drums with musical elements, this trackhas already been surprising dance floors from south to northern hemispheres.

This single could be one of the genre’s biggest of 2019 resonating with music lovers that take influences from a wide periscope of genres.

This alluring slice of jungle has been delivered to us by Agora, the more experimental alias of Brighton-based UK garage producer Movement. Shrine brings you back to the earlier, raw sounds of producers such as Photek and Source Direct, yet never once feels stagnant or clichéd. Intricate layers of drum hits and expertly chopped breaks weave their way through a minefield of pulsating bass, pads and atmospherics as the track progresses with increasing momentum and purpose. At Detached, we've always tried to push new and fresh talent forward and for the third part of our 5 year celebrations, this ethos remains unchanged. We welcome back Echo Motion, Flicka, Karma Kingdom and Toss-T to the label while giving a warm welcome to Rozfresh and R4NS0M. This 6 track EP shows off the breadth and depth of the label over the years while also looking firmly towards the future.

Up first is man of the hour, Echo Motion. This talented artist has been on fire in the last few months, with stunning liquid on labels such as Celsius Recordings, Glitch Audio and Riddim Records. We are proud to be the home for one more arrow in his bow, in the form of 'Buried Treasure'. A classic liquid roller as he does best, with a warm bassline carrying a haunting vocal, this is sure to be on repeat through the following cold nights.

Next up is Flicka, who we welcomed to the label last year in the form of his free download, 'Muted'. 'Gator Skin' follows on from where Flicka left off. An eerie, Western-influenced guitar hook takes the lead while a sensual saxophone and smooth piano chords foreshadow a gritty roller with the perfect balance of weight and soul.

Rozfresh makes his debut to Detached with 'What', a tech-influenced stepper filled with his signature sound that's made us keep an eye on him. Watch out for the breakdown which provides a moment of unexpected calm before we're led back in this steam train of a track!

We proudly welcome back Italy-based Karma Kingdom for his first solo outing on the label. 'Cry Me A River' is a dramatic, jungle-influenced piece which carries the unusual sound palette that we've come to love from this artist throughout his career. This piece harkens back to the label's past whilst staying fresh and novel.

Our penultimate track is from Toss-T, who we welcomed to the label earlier this year with his beautiful free download, 'Melancholy'. 'Chronessence' showcases a new, darker side to Toss-T's sound, where he employs South Asian Carnatic instrumentation for a deep roller. The unconventional melodies make this a treat for those who enjoy fusions of incredibly different styles.

Finally, we welcome R4NS0M to the label for the closing, sombre notes of this various artist release. 'Scene: Anamnesis' envelopes us in from the first sound, with fiery crackles and airy atmospherics paving the way to a dark, old-school roller with a modern aesthetic and rugged basslines.

With our final release of the year, we'd like to wish everyone who's stayed with us for the last 5 years a very happy holiday season, and we hope you've enjoyed all we've had to offer! We've had a wealth of different styles on the label in the last 12 months, and this EP only adds more to the diversity which we are proud of upkeeping.
