"Rising London-based producer Otik steps up with his debut 12” for Bristol imprint Durkle Disco. Resolutely rooted in the present day, both tracks gleefully nod to the past by channeling the darker end of UK garage, Detroit's industrial moodiness and the dusty depths of early dubstep.

"Remix duties for 'Acne Downs' go to Caski (Ghost Recordings/EMF/Keysound), one of the leading proponents of the slowed down 2-step sound, whose reworking aims straight for the dancefloor.

The second release from Manchester–based Trapped Audio, the 12″ features two new cuts showcasing the producer's current vibe. "Since emerging in 2012 on dubstep pioneer El-B's legendary Ghost Recordings, Caski, has garnered a reputation for creating compelling and increasingly experimental bass music of the highest order; gaining support from the likes of Mumdance, Akkord and Pinch. His sounds vibrate in a realm not too far away from the likes of Lamont and Biome. Off the back of releases on Electro Magnetic Fields, Keysound and Tectonic, this release sees him venturing further away from the 140 bpm template and further into his own world of idiosyncratic rhythms and tones. Eery and dark, without being bleak or negative, the tracks roll through meticulous and complex rhythms; moving towards the abrasive - yet never taking a step away from the danceable. Amen Shamen is a 23 year old Jungle producer/DJ from the south west who dabbles in a range of styles and fusions from Ragga to Neuro as well as the occasional dub track.

This repertoire has now expanded to include Hardtek with his second Beetroot release 'Joint Custody’: a new free single that remixes an old classic by Country Joe & the Fish to create some pumping comical rave juice for the dance floor (/mud pit).

We’ve been working on FKOFv005 for what feels like years. It started as a solo outing for one of our longest-serving FKOF fam members, it then morphed into a b2b remix release, it then went back to somewhere in-between...

The release is available for pre-order this Friday, 5th March 2021, to celebrate our 11th birthday. “Our latest physical release paints an epic picture, one defined by broad strokes that demonstrate the diverse range of sounds that Matt at Subreachers is capable of creating. We start with ‘Ceres’. It’s an articulated vibe, one that jitters across a low-key but supportive sub. It’s a groove you need to experience to fully understand.
