After the success of their debut Polina EP (as played by Dixon, Tale of Us, Agoria ), Agents of Time return to Correspondant with their most powerful work to date. 

The Emperor EP sees their sound growing to fill the worlds biggest dance floors, but without losing the signature emotional and cerebral edge which gives their music a notably personal and intimate feel. 

Title track, “Emperor”, has as anthemic a feel as its regal title would suggest. Ploughing a grand and emotional furrow, but with a driving techno Aesthetic.

“Metamorfosi” is a deeper affair, which builds to a tense, spectral conclusion that is simultaneously dramatic and, dare we say it, heart wrenching. 

Hydra is the most minimal track on the EP, yet still manages to be at once dubbed out and theatrical, with skittering and shuffling percussion throughout.

Nazgul continues the tradition of left field house as championed by Correspondant, and as exemplified by label artist Andre Brattan with his track Tromer Og Bass, but with an added horror soundtrack flair which only the Italians can truly bring.

Emperor EP is due out via Correspondant on May 04.

Following the success of last year’s first Spirits compilation, Crosstown Rebels are back with volume 2. Expect “battle weapons galore” as Damian Lazarus unleashes eight tracks upon us that have been the biggest hits from his sets over the past year. Bathe yourself in a sonic soundscape that commands you to, as the man himself says, “play it loud”.

The second album opens up with the legendary Yousef delivering Heartbeat, a masterful track that perfectly balances light and dark, complete with euphoric strings. Next up is the seductive rhythm of Jenia Tarsol & Jinga with their offering - Jimjum.

On the B Side Nick Curly’s Maelstrom provides a darker, driving twist with a pulsating beat, followed by Emanuel Satie bumpy, rolling, inspiring master piece Fade, enlisting the divine and soulful vocal talents of Nanghiti.

The C Side features Jonas Rathsman bringing his tantalising touch to the proceedings next with Lost Youth. Its mystical tribal vocal sample and spiralling percussion glides into the Amazonian beats of Doorly & Tan Dem, who sample tropical birdsong on their offering, with a blistering piano breakdown.

Finally zotar aka Kenny Glasgow’s CIRCLE OF FEAR is pure afterhours hedonism. A throbbing beat drives the track forward with its enticing male vocal. Bartolomeo gifts us with a weighty number that utilises glitchy undertones on Celeste.

Swiss duo Fat Sushi is currently making its trademark on the underground clubland by releasing tracks and remixes on some of the most respected labels in the game: Suara, Einmusika, Katermukke, Steyoyoke or Hive Audio to name a few. Being in the industry for almost two decades before the peculiarly named pairing decided to join forces in 2013, you can hear the inspiration of various musical styles in their productions: heavy basslines, uplifting melodies and carefully chosen vocals – from deep house to techno spectrum.
