Originally interested in producing hip-hop and breaks today his music ping-pongs between flavours of techno, house, and ambient. His extensive discography includes releases on labels such as VINYL DREAMS, MATHEMATICS, 100% SILK, JACKTONE, HOBO CAMP, PERFECT LOCATION, Last Faith Studios and ICEE HOT. You may have seen him playing live at Mutek SF in 2018, or supporting acts like Kornel Korvacs and Chaos in the CBD, or know him from being the resident at the much beloved San Francisco party Run the Length of Your Wildness. Sudi Wachspress aka Space Ghost is an artist and producer living in Oakland, CA who has been making waves with a string of a releases that could arguably be called the best original dance music the Bay Area has produced in recent years. Described as "Early '90's italo deep house meets Larry Heard, Glenn Underground, and boogie sounds," his music has been released on Tartelet and Apron Records to widespread acclaim and there has been no signs of slowing. 

In this episode we learn about how Space Ghost found their footing as a producer, what they look to for inspiration, and, of course, we listen to three of their tracks to discuss what makes them special.

Aslan Venom is a profound DJ, Event Producer, Booker and Dancer from Amsterdam, currently living between Berlin and Wrocław. He is constantly expanding his musical boundaries by delivering a dynamic mix of House, Tech House and Techno and also dares to spin Downtempo, Breaks, Ambient and Trip-Hop beats. 

Extraordinary tracks that surprise friends and enemies, will encourage you to dance vividly until the night turns to dawn. Aslan Venom peeked into abandoned buildings, set up promising lineups and ran away from the authorities. He proved to be a true rave warrior who fought for our right to party freely! With some notorious crews, he succeeded in reviving the atmosphere of the 90s in Berlin's underground. 

With a view to the future, he founded the Vector collective and took a step towards legality by organizing festivals and parties in off-locations.

2020 has come to an end and so is our Podcast Series. Closing the list, we have a true electronic music pioneer in our home town, Steve PD. As an original member of the Pastilla Digital crew, Steve built his reputation as a top-notch DJ by putting together great opening and closing sets, and this time was no exception. Not Sorry club - Uzuri Soundcloud Take Over Day 3 With Sanetran

There are two sides to Cairo-based DJ and producer Hassan Abou Alam's sonic output. While one focuses on the ambient and atmospheric, the other is a form of organised chaos, that matches both synthetic and analogue sound.

These creations have landed on several labels over the last few years including Cologne's Traum Schallplatten, Audiolith and Morocco's Casa Voyager, as well as a very well received debut on Violet's naivety imprint, a sub-label of naive. Local label Rakete was another space for him this year, with him contributing a track to their Quest compilation, before making a return earlier this month for his first solo EP on the imprint, the aptly named Hope Amid Despair.

Following the release, we handed over the reigns to him for this week's Shine A Light On mix, which moves through the spaces between house, breaks, grime and bass. Get yourself acquainted...

She’s a professional sound designer who has been making music for over a decade with releases on labels such as Beretta Grey and God Particle. Never a DJ, Christina’s live sets that center around synths and other hardware have debuted alongside names such as Omar S, Voices From the Lake, Luke Vibert, Todd Terje, and more!
