Our guest in Hour 2 is LeFtO with a mix digging into some of Belgium's finest and here is what he says about his fellow countrymen;

"This is a mix of what I consider our heritage.  It's an almost forgotten 70's era of incredible good jazz and fusion made in Belgium by musical geniuses.  
The most famous artist in that genre was probably Marc Moulin, who was known outside of Belgium for his more recent releases on Blue Note.  But in the early seventies Marc Moulin founded a jazz fusion band, Placebo.  Kirk Degiorgio signed the band on his label Counterpoint by insisting on the relevance and visionary side of the group.  These releases are still on the list of many diggers today.  
Another artist who's been sampled by the greatest is René Costy.  A violin player with a successful career which ended - from what I heard - with a job on Belgian television as a composer.  He has an enormous amount of library songs - over 400 - and in different genres.  Huge catalogue but the most notable song was probably "Scrabble" on Chappell International (part of Universal Music) which was sampled by the late Jay Dee aka J Dilla for his classic hip hop record "fuck the police".

One A, also known as Gehno Aviance has been a member of the House of Aviance since 1989, which is one of longest continually active houses from the ball scene. He began DJing in 1992 where he began playing at legendary east coast parties and raves. In the early 90's he joined the Snowball Collective from NYC and DC and went on to throw some of the most-talked about underground and weekly parties in Washington DC. In 1998 he moved to San Francisco where he has continued to DJ and hone his talent. His sets incorporate deep tech, house, garage, breaks and techno into a seamless musical journey deep rooted in the past while always keeping his finger on the pulse of the future. He may even drop an original track or two. He recently started his own company-- a CBD wellness company called Cocoa Butter & Blunts. @oneamusic

Juliet quickly became a well known dancer in the LA underground house community. She soon found herself involved as a part of the promotions street team for one of the biggest event producers of it's time, Go Ventures, with their signature events Together as One, The Love Festival, and LA Coliseum’s Monster Massive. It is with this vast knowledge, influence, and drive, that Juliet undoubtedly took to the turntables by storm and never looked back. @julietmendoza

A diverse range of influences can be heard in Aju’s unique sound - from an immersive jazz upbringing via his father, a peer of Pharaoh Sanders early on, his dedicated underground hip-hop MC years, dance floor origins at South Bay latino house clubs, techno leanings of the SF rave scene in the 90s, to even contemporary R&B/neo-soul and the outer realms of experimental post-rock and musique concrète, always imbued with a warm, handmade sonic twist and solid sense of rhythm owed to his roots as a dancer. @dave-aju
