Right now my fav nyc DJ is cry$cross. I enjoyed Crystal play so manyy times this past 2021 summer. For me her sound encapsulated the vast range of emotions I was feeling at that time. she translated the weight of all that restlessness..grief..power and excitement that was hanging in the air into movement, dancE! and relief.

Recently @temporal_drift announced that they'll be repressing his album Surround, originally made for pre-fab housing developer Misawa to give away to customers who bought their homes. 🏡 I thought it would be fun to go through some of his music ahead of the release on my radio show.

Known as an early pioneer of environmental music, many of Yoshimura's albums were designed to be played inside urbanized spaces like museums and fashion runways. His music was meant to enhance the spaces surrounding the listener.
