"I got to see the band, Editors, early in their career, perform for approximately 100 people at a venue in Hollywood called Cinespace in 2006. 

I always found vocalist, Tom Smith, to be reminiscent of Brendan Perry (Dead Can Dance) and thought it would be interesting to one day hear his voice with that style of music (big drums and strings).  

That one day came in a single afternoon when I rediscovered I had a multitrack of my favorite Editors song, "Munich", from 2005 on Kitchenware Records. I took the vocals and the refrain guitar and created a cinematic, tribal anthem with my drums and strings.  Some of the drums were initially recorded for a soundtrack I composed so they already had a large space in mind which wound up complimenting the vocals.

I hope you enjoy this musical journey and that the band does too."

Roman Kostrzewski - Zyj Szybko I Gin (2007)

Two years of anger, frustration, sadness, introspection, and growth have formed this album into what it is now: a deafening explosion of catharsis.

So much has happened over these past couple years that I won't go into fully, but God it's been increasingly rough. Everything from financial and job stresses, to the multiple attempts of trying to move out that have gone nowhere. Despite all of this, there's been growth among the pain, and I feel a hell of a lot more in control of myself. Maybe that's just the process of adulthood, I dunno.

One thing's for certain though, this is definitely my loudest, most pissed album to date. Inspired by a lot of rock/metal I was surrounded with as a kid (that I only just started really diving into recently), I wanted to make the kind of album I would've been both intrigued and a little intimidated by in that time.

Hopefully this album provides the same catharsis to you listening as it did when I was making it.

Shok is a producer, musician, multi-instrumentalist. His use of bass guitar, guitar and even live drums (including live tambourine) and his own voice as backing vocals, set his sound apart from the usual fully electronic remix.

Notable remixes include Fischerspooner, The BellRays (Lisa K of The Basement Jaxx), Nick Cave and Warren Ellis's Grinderman, Mirah, KMFDM, Combichrist, Fun Lovin Criminals, Isaac Hayes &amp; Burt Bacharach, Godhead, autoKratz, featuring bassist, Peter Hook (Joy Division / New Order), Daniel Myer's Architect and Haujobb.

Recently having wrapped a mix for the new UK sensation, Queen Of Hearts, he is currently remixing Neil Finn (Crowded House, Split Enz) for the Pajama Club album, Max Pashm and Gotye.

Production and collaborative credits include work with Josie Cotton, Lady Gaga, DJ Superstar Keoki, L7's Donita Sparks, Traci Lords, Douglas McCarthy (Nitzer Ebb), Technical Itch and Daniel Ash (Bauhaus / Love And Rockets).

Shok has composed music for Nickelodeon cartoons, A&amp;E’e Biography, Paramount Pictures, Fox, Miramax, M. Night Shyamalon, PS3, Newgrounds and Michael Bay’s Transformers in a musical collaboration with Adam Freeland, Bassbin Twins and Alex Metric.

He has been the drummer of Mount Sims and Thrill Kill Kult, Red Light District (1920s, 30s neo-vaudeville cabaret vs. a time machine), worked with Juno Reactor and is part of Zeitmahl and Tres Vampires, a project with Johnette Napolitano of Concrete Blonde and David J. of Bauhaus / Love And Rockets set for release 2012.
