I've just recently been selected along with a couple of other artists as one of the new faces of Tresor berlin which gave me the best opportunity I've ever been and probably ever will get given - to play in the prestigious cage within the deep dark depths of Tresor on the 7th of September 2022. Now you can listen back to the machine magic that happened inside those walls that night !! ⛓️

When I listen back to this I can still feel the excitement and anticipation in the pit of my stomach as bodies started to move towards me through the smoke, right up until my last track when the crowd were climbing up onto the cage! The energy we shared with one another was something I will never ever forget and I want to thank each and every person that came and experienced it with me, and to the incredible hosts TRESOR and ENIGMA for allowing me the opportunity. It was and will always be the most special / monumental /incredible gig of my life and I'm so happy to be able to share it with you all again with this recording 🖤

It's also extremely rare that Electro is played in that cage so enjoy every 12,028 seconds of it!⚡️

Aliens, Immortal time-travelers, LA Based Electro producer/DJ "Interdimensional Warlock".. These mysterious and beguiling figures all share one trait - much has been kept from the public's knowledge of their existence, origins, and objectives. Data pertaining to the The latter of this group, (Interdimensional Warlock) have only recently been unearthed - Exposing a decades-long coverup & scandal, following an unprecedented cyber-attack against NASA and the CIA, leaking many of the most closely guarded TOP SECRET documents in history, acknowledging his existence - and more troublingly, recent escape from US Space Force custody.

What *is* known, is that his beats are a cunning adversary - the result of a lifetime of obsessive dedication in the curatorship and production of his 'music' combining influences from the past, present, and future of underground electro - represent a clear and present danger to the status quo - and threaten all we have achieved in our efforts to control and contain the thoughts of the general public, through our relentless mind control campaigns.

It is speculated that he is being hidden by a rogue group of radicals - self-proclaimed band of 'defenders of the underground' - in a secret location deep underneath Los Angeles, and we have reason to believe that he and his forces are planning something big.

With releases on respected labels like Digital Distortions, Perimeter Junk, & Diffuse Reality, His beats and DJ sets have potential to stun and hypnotize the listener - and should be handled with utmost caution.

Tracklistings Mixtape #659 (2024.02.29) : Interdimensional Warlock

As our next episode we meet again an artiste from Los Angeles Interdimensional Warlock (Digital Distortions, Diffuse Reality, Control Data Institute) - is the unapologetically strange, other-worldly electro pseudonym of musical-interest-multiple-personality-disorder (MIMPD) sufferer and producer/DJ 'Scott Charles Findley' (Nordic Trax, Fiji, Iron Box, Infinite Jazz) a humanoid, with deep roots in a wide variety of hyper-dimensional dance music.

Which artists has influenced you the most? 

- I get inspiration from lots of different places, t have nothing to do with electro.. everything from jazz fusion, groovy deep house to indy rock and classical. I love all types of music, truly. In the electrosphere: Dopplereffekt, Wee DJs, Carl Finlow aka Silicon Scally, Fleck ESC, Bass Junkie, Maelstrom, to name just a few. Labels like Mechatronica, Brokntoys, Science Cult always 

What new projects/releases with your participation are expected in the near future? 

- Had to take a little time away from writing recently, but Ive been busy in the studio working on new material, Im glad to say. Currently on the schedule:  A cheeky remix for the great Squaric (Diffuse Reality Records) and an EP for my friends Digital Distortions, coming out in about a month or so.

Which artists/labels is more relevant to you now? 

- One of my favorite thing about electro is that its futuristic-dystopian sound is immune to passing trends in music. Much of the earliest electro is as relevant (or more so) today as it was the moment it was made. Despite being made 30 years ago, by decidedly non-futuristic means, electro still captures that essence of 'the future' in a way thats unique to the genre.

Some standouts for me: Dopplereffekt, Wee DJs, Carl Finlow aka Silicon Scally, Fleck ESC, Bass Junkie, Maelstrom, and labels like labels like Mechatronica, Brokntoys, Science Cult, never dissapoint and have vast back-catalogs of incredible, lasting music that stands the test of time. Impossible to name them all, there are so many!

What inspires you now to create music? 

- Oh man, what doesnt.. Haha. I think, just, living, really. Joy, pain, anger, ecstasy, love, lust, desire, fear, sorrow.. Emotion, in general. Sometimes this happens in a very direct way, other times its not so clear, and Im just making something because, I think it sounds dope! In either case, The act of sitting down and creating something and getting into the sometimes elusive creative flow state is one of life's simplest pleasures, regardless of whatever compells you to enter it.

What set-up do you use when creating music?

- I've bounced back and forth between elaborate setups with lots of synths and outboard gear and totally minimal setups, and Ive found that almost always, less is more. Ive got only one synth, an Arturia Poly Brute, as my kind of centerpiece and sound-design workhorse, and a couple of outboard bits, but my setup is nearly entirely in-the-box and pretty bog-standard stuff. I do quite a bit of creative sampling as the foundation for my sound design, alongside tools like like Reaktor, Max MSP, Softube Modular to take me to weirder places.

As sexy as a room full of bespoke, vintage gear may be, for me, its all about efficiency and workflow, and keeping it tight takes me where I want to go faster than noodling around with expensive modular gears.. Its all a very individual and personal thing, and theres no 'right' way, if it gets whats in your head into something tangible, and DONE.

Electro. 

Kraftwerk invented it in the seventies. Hip hop jacked it in eighties. Techno took it underground in the nineties. And then strange things happened in the noughties. House and dubstep co-opted the word "electro", shifting its meaning and confusing people. Good people. People like YOU. 

You've forgotten what real electro sounds like. But that's ok, because we're here to remind you. Electro is the sound of robots dreaming of a science fiction future, making machine music in their bedrooms with pulsing drum machines, while their keytars gently bleep. OK, maybe not so much the keytars, but probably some squelching synths, and sci fi samples and even the occasional vocoder, all washed down with lashings and lashings of funk. 

Today, electro continues to evolve, embracing modern production techniques and digital sound design, mutating into something so alien it barely resembles most of today's dance music. And yet it does. It SO does, and we have over 100 tracks that prove it, from relentless hardcore dancefloor tracks to intricately tweaked bedroom chin-scratchers; from melodic retro tributes to the escapist soundtrack of science fiction futures. 

So why not consider parting with the princely sum of exactly zero money and opening your ears to the amazingly free Electro Compendium? Who knows, you might even learn something.
