Interesting Results hails not from Rotterdam but that other place below sea level: New Orleans. As a lifelong lover of electro (and discordant noises in general) this playlist was thoughtfully curated from some of her favorite songs lately. She spent her teenage years exchanging mix tapes and CDs with friends and has been DJing on and off for over two decades starting with her local college radio station KLSU-FM where she co-hosted an electronic and experimental music show called the Kitchen Sink for three years. Her transition from vinyl to digital occurred only more recently though she has no plans to part with her record collection! While she is a high school teacher by day and a selector at heart, it is her love of dancing that most influenced her shift to DJing in club environments and the dancefloor is often where you’ll find her. Even still, she’s constantly scouring everywhere and anywhere for new tracks with the same fervor that a research scientist devotes time to their own field of study. While the electronic music scene in New Orleans might be small, it is quite special and steadily growing; here’s to hoping this mix might catch the attention of some of her favorite acts and help to bring them here! Injection Box returns with a rhythm-driven exploration from Crespi Drum Syndicate, the collaborative project of @goiz1994 (El Gusano/DJ Fitness) and Jonathan Trujillo (@jonnyfromspace). United by their passion for percussion, the duo crafts a compelling journey that starts with a burning ember and by the end of the set is raging like an inferno.

Featuring tracks from Toulouse Low Trax, Cowboy Rhythmbox, Baby Ford, Cooly G, Elysia Crampton Chuquimia and more, the Miami duo delivers an eclectic, boundary-pushing mix that will reorient your perception of rhythm.

ADMN - Movement 2025 - Detroit Stage - 7-8 PM

For this set I played on 4 CDJ 3000’s and a V10 mixer, using both of its internal effects processors. For every No Way Back set, and for most sets, I try to prepare new hardware remasters and edits of things that I think would be fascinating recontextualized in this setting. But for NWB, it is even more special, a peak moment, so I try to have new records I’m working on in the studio to test out. For this set that means the hardware mixes I’ve been working on for Torrvo and for Andy Toth can be tested, I’m working on this hardware mixing and remastering tone palate, so I spread that to some edits to give them a whole new power. Playing at No Way Back cannot be put into words, though we try every year, it really is inexplicable without experiencing it. It’s the environment you most want to be in, the space is totally transformed, the sound is dialed in, the audience is so ready, very giving and open, and the feedback you get is incredible. People are up for a ride – we start at the Tangent and end up going to the other side of the universe. Freedom within and without. There’s no place I’d rather be, so I thought I’d share this much sooner than we usually do. Enjoy the ride.

About Tresor Berlin
At midnight, on March 13th 1991, a basement door opened at Leipziger Strasse 126, Berlin. Through this door, many passed, on their way to defining new terrains in electronic music. There they found a dance floor in the vaults of a closed-down department store, with a unique sound bound to dense fog, building night after night a history that was also a vision of the future.

This history has seen in Jeff Mills’ first sets on three turntables, Underground Resistance's first live appearances in Europe, grandiose Tresor Park parties, to various chapters of the Loveparade with Sven Väth in the 90s and since then countless generation-spanning parties. These moments represent the highlights of infinite personal clubbing experiences. It is the manifestation of the Berlin spirit, emerging from its considerable strife. This history is not without its complications - from temporary closure by the authorities and several raids in the early years to closure and demolition of the old location in 2005. What followed was years of wandering in exile and, finally, resurrection in the new home in Kraftwerk Berlin.

These stories, conversations and shared experiences within our walls forge a resilience that drives towards a shared ideal, the Tresor sound: community, resistance, and the world to come. This was observed in the newly re-unified German youth, who danced and celebrated together from the club’s inception, and into the present day through ongoing community work in Detroit.

To those that have danced before, and to those that will dance in the future: the light at the end of the long Tresor tunnel is a signal. A flicker amidst the fog. This is our future. This is our place.

Francois Dillinger : "I heard this original of this track for the first time in a Dave Clarke live mix that I bought from someone at a rave who had burned it on CD. A few years later when I finally started dj’ing I looked for a copy on vinyl and eventually paid $50 for it on eBay. It remains, to this day, to be one of the best uses of my money ever—a true investment. We all know Rother has had an unmatched impact on the genre we love, but this track in particular changed the course of my musical journey and still inspires me to this day. Thanks to the stems included on the vinyl I was able to deconstruct this wonder and put my spin on it.  Big thanks to @anthony-rother for all you’ve done to push me forward and to Dave Clarke for playing this track and forever changing my life as an artist."
