It wasn’t really hiding, just sitting quietly online. But Tom Sharkett’s edit of “Home” was too good to ignore. Originally a bootleg we first heard played on Flo Dill’s Breakfast Show on NTS, it wormed its way into our hearts and never left. So we made it official. Sometimes the internet actually makes your life better.

Home (Tom Sharkett Edit)

We started this track by building the instrumental around a Moog synthesizer sequenced to a driving beat—a technique favoured by the likes of Giorgio Moroder and Howard Jones. A few days later, the structure was in place, and we added an electronic violin line—but it was crying out for a vocal.  Our favourite Frenchman, Baccus, was already on our radar. We knew he’d be perfect for this French x Italo house vibe. He delivered exactly what we envisioned—the perfect vocal to bring it all together.
