This is the 112th Ambient Sessions presented by Deep Electronics. These monthly released sessions brings you the best and the most diversity Ambient music can offer. 

This is the very first release in 2024 and I am proud to present Tomas Jirku on the channel with is mixtape for January. Enjoy new and classic ambient tracks in his mix. Perfect warm sounds to start the cold days ahead of use. So enjoy!

Bio:
Tomas Jirku began making music in the golden era of minimal and glitch techno and helped to define the genres. Over twenty five years, fifteen albums, sixteen vinyl EPs, and countless remixes and compilations later, he has built a strong repertoire with his exploratory approach to music. After taking a break to focus on developing and exhibiting his experimental photography, he brought both worlds together with his most recent album on Silent Season and live performances which incorporate his otherworldly videos. Jirku's return to music is also marked by the inception of a new project under the alias Machine Emotion which sees him leaning into his longtime love of industrial music to make uncompromising techno and electro.

Our twice-a-year trips to upstate New York are something we truly cherish. There’s a special magic in that barn, I swear. This time, we had friends representing 11 nationalities, each bringing their unique backgrounds and stories. Yet there we were, gathered in the heart of the Catskill Mountains, sharing laughter, tears, good food, and incredible music.
Every trip has its own character, and this one was no different. I’m thrilled to share the recording of my Saturday night set, which followed Kim Kenis’s phenomenal 4-hour journey. It felt like a natural progression to start with some deep, dubby tracks and gradually build the tension. I’m really happy with how the mix turned out, and I hope it resonates with you, too. Finishing the set brought such a feeling of joy. One I know I’ll hold onto for a long time.
Here’s to more music, memories, and the connections that make it all worthwhile.

Artist: Giacomo Pellegrino [Detroit Side / Greyscale / Ohm Series / Mixcult / spclnch / Ausblick]

We are proud to present another musical frontier. This time we turn our attention to the Italian Dj, producer and head of the Detroit Side Label - Giacomo Pellegrino.   

Giacomo began his musical journey aged 14 when he learned how to DJ. Growing up he listened to a lot of disco and funk and all kinds of 70s and 80s dance music. He often arranged shows and sets for his friends until he was old enough to play at clubs. As his music knowledge and tastes developed he eventually moved into the realms of House and Techno.  

  In much the same way as ourselves, Giacomo has a huge affinity for all things Detroit and in particular , Detroit Techno. Hence the birth of his own label - Detroit Side. A Vinyl only label which he carefully curates and is home to the likes of Delano Smith, Franck Roger, Nick Beringer, S.A.M and of course Giacomo Himself.   

As a producer , Giacomo is someone we’ve been big fans of since we discovered his music, which features regularly in our mixes and radio shows. Through his productions, which are almost solely created using a variety of hardware, he showcases his extensive abilities and talents, often taking inspiration from nature as well has things from his everyday life.

For this Frontier mix, Giacomo has presented a 60 minute journey, which begin with some really deep atmospheric sounds before teasing in some super deep pulsing kicks. As the mix develops he continues to drop in ambient moments, followed by more deep rhythms and sounds.   

We are honoured to be able to host an artist like Giacomo on our platform and we look forward to seeing how his career progresses in the coming years.

The Frontier 015 - Giacomo Pellegrino

This month, we are thrilled to feature a mix from The Visions Reel. The artist behind the project, Adam Jade, is a music producer based in the South West of England whose works delve into cinematic, emotionally-driven electronic music, with an increasing emphasis on intricate melodies and carefully crafted sound design.

With releases on labels such as Kizen, Re:st, and others, Adam also co-runs Captured Visions, a cassette label alongside Tom Barefoot, which focuses on ambient music that highlights atmosphere and texture.

This mix is a 2-hour recording from a party in London last year, hosted by Unknown Species—one of Adam's favourite events in the UK and a very special night.

Bio/
Born in Soweto, going by the name Sash Omnyama, a huge lover and consumer of house, through listening to a lot of mixtapes, I began having my specific preference of sound which then led me to start making my mixes in 2021 and share my own story through music. On my podcast mixtapes, I host two distinct sessions: "Soulful House Sunday Sessions," which feature deep soulful house, and "Late Night Drive Sessions", where I display my dub techno side, which speaks to my soul.

Bio:
Craft is an international techno producer who has been dJing for 21 years. He founded the NYC underground events “Twice as Proper” hosting 250 shows in the last 8 years. He has released 11 EP’s, a concept album and countless remixes on over 30 labels based in a dozen countries. In 2014 he composed 4 tracks for a Mexican gangster movie projected in theatres around the country late 2015. He is often on tour around the US, Mexico and Europe and hosts a radio show in the UK called “Feed The Raver”. He is also founder of the Party People™ brand which is represented around the globe.

Adrift in the liberating, late light of summer, delicate, frivolous, they make their way to my front porch and flutter near the glassed-in bulb, translucent as a thought suddenly wondered aloud, illumining the air that's thick with honeysuckle and dusk. You and I are doing our best at conversation, keeping it light, steering clear of what we'd like to say.You leave, and the night becomes cluttered with moths, some tattered, their dumbly curious filaments startling against my cheek. How quickly, instinctively, I brush them away. Dazed, they cling to the outer darkness like pale reminders of ourselves. Others seem to want so desperately to get inside. Jenny Arredondo is a true Techno enthusiast. A music and dance-floor lover. A crazy healthy raver that would dance for hours and hours to proper Techno beats and bass. She is known as the "Dancing Queen" in the underground NYC Techno scene and around the world. Her passion for music has no limits; she has music in her blood.
 Jenny's music exploration journey began in 2012, and she plays and produces Deep Techno, Ambient and Electronica under the names "Headliner" and "La Guru". Her album "Techno Inquisition" was released on November 16th 2013 and her second album “Ubiquitous” was released on December 28th 2014. Her release "Dark Invader" was included in the compilation REGENERATION by the Spanish label Doppt Zykkler//Series on June 15th, 2015. Her track Headliner - Planck Epoch was included in the (DE19) Deep Diversity Vol. 3 - Deep Electronics Compilation released on November 5th, 2015. Her first EP "Rose Red Wounds" was released on July 16th 2021 also on the dutch label Deep Electronics. Her latest release "A New Hope" was a contribution to the Mastoid Kollektive - PINK in support of breast cancer and was featured along other tracks by amazing techno and house legends.
 She organized underground techno events in New York for almost a decade and also hosted events in Detroit, Mexico City, Barcelona, Amsterdam and Playa del Carmen. In 2015, Headliner also became part of Female Pressure, an international network of female artists in electronic music and digital arts founded by Electric Indigo. You will often find her listening and discovering new tracks and artists, also at Techno events having the time of her life.
