Welcome back! Today we would like to introduce you to a long-time friend and colleague - Mute Mode Maker Psycho-Jones has been a DM Fan for 40 Years and a DJ & Promoter for 3 Decades. 

Mute Mode is one of three pillars of a multidimensional vision of book/reading, soundtrack/performance & event/news channel. It reflects Psycho's longterm experience with hundreds of events across Europe and always delivers a flexible range of flavours plus a strong visual Impact of stylish artwork, outfit & decor, too. 
Starting in 2017 as a DM & Mute Records tribute vinyl only kaliber at 8MM Bar Berlin, it grew quickly. 

It's a versatile construction that works in a wide range of variations & is not to compare with classic DM or 80s parties. PJ was invited to national & international DM fan events & was part of many official DM release & aftershow parties in Berlin, Frankfurt, Switzerland, etc.
Psycho is working on his own tracks right now under the alias "Adoniskörper" inspired by experiences in the DM universe & beyond. Yet to be released.

This Mute Mode set was recorded live at Schick Mainz & includes many of PJ's alltime faves, discoveries, vintage & modern. Enjoy!

Witness Protection Program (WPP) is a space for artists to bathe in anonymity, allowing them to release music that they wouldn’t be able to otherwise. It’s a Work in Perpetual Progress.

Launched in July 2021, WPP has since released 17 singles and a couple of EPs featuring re-edits.

The main artistic entities on WPP are Davin Varda and Troels Yuri. While they maintain their own anonymity, they collaborate with various known artists such as Olugbenga Adeleken (Metronomy), Fritz Helder (Azari & III), Middle Sky Boom, Buscadora and Talis Klein.

Yuri and Varda share a passion for electronic music that bends the rules and surprises the ears, drawing from a wide range of musical influences: from techno to ambient, jazz to new wave, dub to disco. Their tracks are a sonic roller coaster, taking listeners from the depths of despair to the heights of ecstasy, blending experience with a sense of childish playfulness, and balancing spontaneity with deliberation.

Davin Varda leans towards a more optimistic and lighter sound, while Troels Yuri prefers a darker, more sombre tone.

Advice for the DJs, producers and artists of our community: Take care in every aspect of what you do--from mixes and live sets to emails and meetings, every interaction counts. Get familiar with the history of the music you play and the artists who make it. Make a roadmap with small achievable goals for yourself that feed into a greater vision/aspiration--it may take a while but eventually you'll begin to see your progress and move on to new goals.

Daisychain 337 - Bianca Oblivion

My World My Way was the name of @e-saggila's album back in 2019. It perfectly encapsulates her brazen approach to sound which chews up and spits out everything from noise to breakcore to techno. The Iraq-born, Toronto-based artist has always revelled in the contrast between tempos, shocking rhythms and distorted textures. Part of the thrill of listening to it is the sense it could all collapse at any moment, whether releasing on her label Summer Isle or the likes of Opal Tapes, Hospital Productions, and Northern Electronics.

This week she delivers an hour of pure electronic potency that brings to life her uniquely dystopian visions. Staring in what sounds like a haunted underground metro station, she then transitions into futuristic worlds of pulsating bass, squealing synths, scratchy melodies and hyper-driven percussive patterns that race along into the unknown. It's an abstract selection of sound that is cerebral and cinematic but will also cause utter carnage in a club setting.

This is the sound journey Birds Of Mind created for Eva Kaczor's PSYCHEDELIC BREATH in collaboration with ICBRKR App.

It launched at sunset on Tulum's beach, taking a beautiful community into an altered state of consciousness. It marked the beautiful closing of a day retreat that Eva and ICBRKR had designed together.

This is the soundtrack I made for the Psychedelic Breath session I did with the amazing Eva Kaczor at The Monastery Festival of The Gardens of Babylon. 

I can still see myself standing there, overlooking that beautiful big barn. This was for sure one of the most powerful musical experiences I have ever experienced on stage. Normally during my sets I have the tendency to fly. The music takes me away, energies rise, and I enter a state of flow where everything just happens naturally. This is a beautiful thing! What made this sound journey so different was that instead of flying I was feeling very grounded. This groundedness enabled me to really deeply experience this journey and it’s impact on us. Sharing this with so many people at the same time makes it so much stronger.   

It is crazy how something so fundamental to our lives, our breath, becomes such a powerful tool when used consciously. This technique is a shortcut to enter a sort of dreamy state in your brain, in which you are neither awake nor asleep: the theta state. This meditative state is the gateway to your creativity, learning and intuition, and it allows you to access the power of your unconscious mind.

PSYCHEDELIC BREATH is Eva Kaczor’s own mix of dynamic breathing techniques from ancient traditions and contemporary science fused with evocative electronic music sets, she creates in collaboration with artists such as Acid Pauli and Birds of Mind. Both, deep breathing as well as electronic music, have the power to alter your state of consciousness and let you access higher realms of awareness. 

I was deeply touched by the reactions after the session. I have never seen so many people in tears of love and joy. Thank you

There are 11 cycles in the sound journey each cycle consisting of dynamic and relaxing sections. In the dynamic sections there is a deep beat you breathe intensely. The relaxing section is more ambient and you let your breath out and then finally hold it in before you enter the dynamic section of the new cycle. If you listen carefully you can hear a windchime/bell which indicates that the journey is moving into the next dynamic or relaxing section. Enjoy

I just returned from the magical Bonjuk Bay. This place is something else. The nature, the people, the love. So much beauty. It felt like returning to the essence of life. 

There were many magical moments but this sunset set is something I will never forget. Standing in-between the palm trees, looking at all these beautiful people dancing, celebrating the last moments of sunshine before we fade into the night.

My heart is filled with gratitude.
