“Titus Ramiz” born Titus Ramiz Stubblefield was born July 25, 1990 in Louisville, Kentucky into a family of singers and musicians. Though he was a late bloomer in comparison to his siblings in embracing his musical gift, it was obvious to those around him that music was his destiny. He was raised by a single father who believed in nurturing his children’s musical creativity. His father eventually moved the family to Ohio where he surrounded them with musical instruments including pianos, drums, guitars, microphones, and recording equipment. Eventually Titus began to explore his abilities by singing the songs of his favorite artist and learning each instrument that was around the house all on his own. This later lead to him singing and playing drums at the church his family attended.

Unexpectedly, at the age of fifteen Titus lost his father due to a freak accident that caused medical complications. It was at this point that Titus began to reflect on the true purpose that his father felt music would play in his life. By this time he had migrated to St. Louis, Missouri to live with relatives. As the new kid in school he ran into a kid whom he befriended. This kid was passionate about one thing, and that was music. His main area of interest was making hip-hop beats, and he began to show Titus the ropes of beat making. One day Titus decided to try his hand at his first beat. Already a writer of poetry in his spare time, Titus decided to put some of his writings with his musical compositions and found with much delight that he was not able to just compose music, but he was able to create lyrical masterpieces. That buried treasure box of creativity had finally opened and Titus finally knew what others had known all along, he was destined for a life filled with music.

From there Titus has continued to embrace music and excel to exceptional levels. He has perfected his lyrical craft through poetry and has been a finalist in several national poetry contests including one where his poem was nationally published in a book. He has also done artist development including physical training, vocal development, and media training with Darnell Clark and several other industry professionals. He has traveled through out the U.S. producing, singing, writing, and studying his craft. He has opened up for bands such as legendary funk band “Slave” most popularly known for their early 80’s singles “Just a touch of love” and “Watching You”, as well as the “Rick James Stone City Band” most popularly known for Rick James’ “Super Freak”. He has performed at the Nike Lebron James “More Then a Game” concert tour. He has also recently performed in concert with Atlanta’s hot new artists “Travis Porter” and “OMG Girls”. His eclectic taste for music is what he credits to be the reason his music is so creative and diverse. He has been told by several musical professionals that he is “the sound of the future, refreshing, and remarkably versatile.”

As a producer, he has been in the studio with well known production team “The Corna Boyz” in Atlanta, to Chicago where he has been scouted by the production team of Grammy award winning producer “Traxter” most recently known for Twista’s “Wetter” and Ludacris’s “My Chick Bad”. He has also done demo work for 2002 Grammy award winning producer Tiger “Da Beat Banga” Roberts out of Chicago who is most recently known for production on the Marques Houston “Naked” album. In recent months Titus has been doing collaboration writing with the production team “Beastaz” out of St. Louis Missouri most known for Rap artist Jibbs “Chain Hang Low.” Titus has also produced for up and coming young teen sensation rapper “Shotty Mayes” out of Columbus, Ohio, along with several other aspiring Hip-Hop, R&B, and Pop artist through out the Midwest and the South. Titus has also recently won the 2010 National KFC Hit maker contest judged by a panel of KFC marketing executives, fans, and celebrity judge Jazze Pha. Currently Titus is assembling a compilation of musical work for showcase. This compilation is a futuristic highly anticipated sound that will show his versatility to be able to create masterpieces amongst several genres of music including Pop, R&B, Hip-Hop, Go-Go/ House, and several others.

Humanworkshop is a loose collective of electronic music producers and audio professionals.

We are a label, manufacturing and releasing CD and vinyl albums alongside offering free MP3 downloads of exclusive tunes and DJ/live recordings. We are an audio services company, producing content for any conceivable form of online and offline media. And we are a blog and e-zine, writing and publishing articles related to audio production, music composition and new media.

As a music collective and netlabel, we aim to cover a wide area of electronica and beats genres without being part of any particular scene. We are not a dubstep label, not drum and bass collective; rather we like to look at ourselves as a group that combines virtually any modern style with more authentic and traditional music. We are interested in music that merges contemporary production with samples and recordings of 'real-world', physical instruments.

As an audio services company, we like to think we are a versatile bunch of professionals, able of producing sound design and music tailor-made to the wishes of our clients. We have worked for big and small clients alike, ranging from the BBC, Nike to non-profit, government funded projects.

Humanworkshop was established in 2000 by Daan Hendriks, Gerrit Elbrink and Remus Ockels, then first year Audio Design students at the HKU in Hilversum. In 2009, we merged with netlabel and e-zine Fant00m in a move to expand our range and offer more quality content. As a result of this merger, Durk Kooistra entered the core team of Humanworkshop.

DJ Rage has been holdin’ it down in San Diego, California. His DJ career began as a mobile disc jockey with his first DJ group called Turntable Wizards, then later teamed up with 3-Style Attractions, which turned out to be a well-reputable DJ group within all of California. Because of his hard work, determination, and perseverance, while spinning at private events, weddings, proms and high school dances, DJ Rage’s career rapidly elevated to another level when he was given the opportunity to work in the radio industry in 1995 for San Diego’s number 1 hip hop and R&B radio station, Jammin’ Z90 (www.z90.com). Upon entering a new scene, DJ Rage hit the radio industry as a “Z90 All Star DJ”, where he DJed the weekend show called, “Street Party”, then later did the “Drive at 5 Mix” on Monday through Friday. Until now, DJ Rage has continued to rock the airwaves for San Diego. His mixes have been heard by millions not only locally, but worldwide. Currently, DJ Rage is a member of the “Bumsquad DJz” and the “Sharpshooterz Crew”. Amongst many of his accolades, just to add another line to his resume, DJ Rage is known as the NFL San Diego Charger’s Official DJ. The San Diego Chargers as well as their fans jam to his mixes at all of their home games as well as the after parties for the team. His resume includes DJing for car shows like “Hot Import Nights”, “Extreme Autofest”, for clothing and shoe companies like “Alphanumeric, DC Shoes, Nike, Tribal Gear, True Clothing, and Illiss Lifestyle. DJ Rage has also worked for organizations such as Xbox 360, ImportCulture.com, BabeBlvd.com, Kafe Skateshop, Willy’s Workshop, and The Amory. Other endeavors include opening for several well-known music artists such as Ashley Robles, Ice Cube, Snoop, Mitchy Slick, Akon, Ciara, Lil Flip, Common, Ja Rule, LL Cool J, E-40, Ludacris, Mya, Xzibit, Christina Milian, John Legend, Pitbull, T-Pain, Frankie J, and many other artists. In addition, he works closely with major record labels such as Def Jam, Interscope, Capitol Record, Sony, and various other labels. DJ RAGE can be heard mixing at Club Deviate and all the hottest clubs in San Diego. He has played in various cities and countries such as, Las Vegas, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Hawaii, Chicago, New York, Mexico, Dominican Republic, and his country of origin the Philippines. Born and raised in Miami, Joe Usher began his DJ career honing his sound across the legendary scene of 90’s South Beach and the Design District. After a move to Manhattan in 2001, he began an eclectic journey through some of New York’s best underground clubs while also producing runway soundtracks for some of the biggest names in fashion and DJ’ing events for the likes Sony Pictures, Warner Bros., Nike, Target, MoMA and Sotheby’s to name just a few.

He has DJ’d special events and nightclubs in Brazil, Costa Rica, LA, DC, Atlanta, Chicago and San Francisco. His unique blend of classic and modern sounds and genre busting mixes bring a can’t miss energy to any function or venue. He has also spent the last decade curating playlists and music programming for some of the world’s biggest brands including Marc Jacobs, Equinox Fitness, Michael Kors, Uber and The Edition Hotel Group.

It began in .... Plastic People

2nd Drop Records officially started in the womb like environs of Plastic People in London at a legendary dubstep and grime night called FWD>>. As regulars and best friends, labels owners Mark Gurney and James Bliss had been soaking up the vibes from the small, but formative dubstep scene, championed by Youngsta and co, since 2005. It was here that they formed their love of bass music, but also the key relationships with the as yet unknown future stars - throwing gun fingers with Ramadanman front left, raising lighters with Oneman, chatting to Skream, Benga, Distance and Rusko at the bar. 

Foundation times

But before 2nd Drop was formed,
James was making DIY effects units called the Dub-Box and Mark was guiding a bunch of young people in a dingy basement in Lewisham in the art of putting out records with his youth programme Live Recordings. Their final signing was a young star called Jamie Woon, and his first single Wayfaring Stranger with a now legendary Burial remix (that has sparked further collaboration between the two). Sadly the project had to close, but from it's ashes came a new beginning. 

2nd Drop's first release came about almost by accident. After hearing Skream play Ramadanman's version of Good Feelin on Rinse FM, and learning that he was thinking about giving it away for free, the label said it was too good just to give away and would he like to do a 12"? He agreed. And enthralled by his unique, post-tribal take on dubstep, Mark sent him the parts to Jamie Woon's Wayfaring Stranger and The Woon was born. Two tracks that sound more relevant in 2011 than ever before, a sound truly ahead of its time.

Networks and dubplates

Further friendships created at FWD and DMZ, on the Dubstep Forum and cutting dubplates and mastering at Transition saw the label release music from burgeoning talent like Rusko, Clouds, LD, Sully, JKenzo and LV as well as key remixes from Untold, Fantastic Mr Fox and Falty DL. 

New blood

After a quiet 2010, the label has seen a renewed vigour in 2011, the support team has swelled with the addition of two new members to the artwork and scouting team in Ralph Solly and Marshal Darling. The label now has a 6 strong DJ team alongside Mark (Markle), James (JBliss), Ralph (Acronym) and Marshal (Martial) with DB and Rich Martin adding further experience and record collection depth to the crew. 

They have popped their video cherry, creating a music video with the uber talented LV on the Explode EP; a fortuitous international collaboration with Oxford's folktastic genius Message To Bears and the golden tones of Zaki Ibrahim from South Africa, which included a bevy of awesome remixes from the massively underrated DjRUM, ex-Attica Blues and Blacktronica honcho Charlie Dark and the mysterious LV associate Mothy. 

At the centre... 

Mark and James also have a strong interest in art and design, which they express through commissioning new and established illustrators and artists to produce bespoke artwork for the vinyl centre labels. They went one step further with release 008 where they asked Mat Pringle to create and screen print the cover by hand. Now an in demand collectors item. The label continues to work with Remi Rough, Uiu, Will Scobie, Matt Taylor, Verbal Picks and Mat Pringle, and have recently collaborated with Will Barras supplying music to a live art film. 

Synchronised 

With a rich an varied catalogue, the label has been able sync keys songs to a variety of brands and projects from Nike and NSPCC to Skunkfunk. Alongside been compiled on a range of albums from Gold Panda and Maya Jane Cole's DJ Kicks, Soul Jazz's Steppahs Delight and Dubstep Allstars 7. 

And with forthcoming albums, singles and remixes from DjRUM, Gerry Read, Youandewan, Distal, Pedestrian, and Tessela things are looking good for 2nd Drop.

Blow Up Records is a London based independent record label that was started in 1994 by Paul Tunkin, founder and promoter of the legendary Blow Up club (1993-present). The first release was a ltd 7" for Paul's band The Weekenders, which lead to releases for other acts and compilation albums. Music on the label ranges from 60s to New Wave, from Pop to Electronica; pretty much reflecting and complementing the sensibility of the Blow Up club.

The Blow Up label is responsible for compilations such as the ground-breaking "Exclusive Blend" music library series, 'Blow Up A-Go-Go: Dancefloor Classics' and several series of limited seven inches featuring bands from across Europe and the UK. Blow Up released the first Add N to X album as well as albums for recent acts such as Big Boss Man, The Bongolian, Baltic Fleet, Silvery, Mockingbird, Wish Me Luck, Neon Plastix, Alfa 9 and more reflecting the label's continuing eclectic output. Blow Up Records also have a publishing arm Blow Up Songs which publishes the majority of works that the label now releases. Blow Up are also the same team that promotes live concerts and clubs for the Metro Club on Oxford Street, London. (Please go to the venue myspace for bookings etc.) Blow Up also released 'Blow Up A-Go-Go: Dancefloor Classics' inconjunction with V2 Records in 1999.

2009: This June Silvery follow up last year's releases with their 5th single 'The Nishikado E.P.' and Sweden's Mockingbird, Wish Me Luckk release their second single 'Moves On The Screen'. Big Boss Man will be releasing their eagerly awaited 3rd album this Summer - stayed tuned for more details soon! 2008: 2008 has been the most release-packed year yet for Blow Up with several debuts including the Kraut Rock inspired Baltic Fleet (his self-titled debut No. 29 Rough Trade's Top 50 Albums of 2008 & in Piccadilly Records Top 100 Albums of 2008), London artrockers Silvery (album 'Thunderer & Excelsior' No.19 Artrocker's Albums of The Year 2008, a BBC 6Music Album of the Day and more) and indie-pop from Sweden's Mockingbird, Wish Me Luck ('Days Come And Go' album placed in one of the Top 4 Albums of 2008 lists in Sweden's national daily Sydsvenskan and described as "an album to pay attention to" by AllMusic). Big Boss Man's Nasser Bouzida also found time to release the third album by his alter-ego The Bongolian ("A Latin-flavoured jazz-funk odyssey" Q magazine) which has been winning fans worldwide.

2007: The ever prolific Mr. Bouzida has just finished mixing his third Bongolian album with Nick Terry (SMD, Klaxons, Libertines) so stay tuned for this release, and new signing Baltic Fleet who is currently mixing his debut with Nick too. Sticking with the album theme we are reissuing our 'Blow Up presents Exclusive Blend' series (a relief as some have been fetching up to £100 on eBay!), and nicely timed too as The KPM Allstars featured on Volumes 1 and 2 were chosen to perform at Jarvis Cocker's Meltdown this June.

2005-2006: Over the last couple of years the we've released several one-off singles for Swedish bands CDOASS and Strip Music, and UK acts Eight Legs and The Rifles (Blow Up 45 Series). We also released singles for Doncaster electro/pop group Neon Plastix and saw the Big Boss Man track 'Party 7' picked up for Nike's worldwide World Cup campaign. Their 2001 album 'Humanize' that this was taken from was previously used as the soundtrack for the 1999 short film 'Sweet' featuring the Mighty Boosh too (available for the first time this year). We also released the long-awaited follow-up to The Bongolian's first album in 2006 'Blueprint', as well as the debut album for new psychedelic signings Alfa 9 titled'Then We Begin' which was recorded with Liverpool based producer Mike Cave.
