Today we premiere 'Back 2 U' by Bicep and this one is more subdued than the lead cut 'Just'. This isn't to say that it doesn't pack heat though, far from it. Thick basslines, thumping percussion and grand, intergalactic synths once again show why Bicep are a force to be reckoned with. Get flexing.

Much could be said about German house royalty Boris Dlugosch. From his teen DJ years under the wings of Front’s legendary Klaus Stockhausen in Hamburg to his own marvelous tenure there that is pretty much synonymous with the explosion of Acid House in its proto- and post-incarnations.  One could examine his role as a herald of US garage and Jersey house or as a remixer of underground gone pop records. But we will leave that and other stories for the Front page soon. The „Traveller EP“ is the result of Dlugosch and Cassara meeting at a mutual friend of theirs, getting excited about their shared love for classic synths (see Sh-101 for the Traveller bass line) and exploiting the latter’s extensive synth collection. What you get: classic disco, French house, electro-funk, DJ sound effects (that tractor plowed the Front EVERY night) and most of all fun, fun and a little bit of extra fun. 'By Your Side' is the second solo release of the year from Will Saul, it follows his spring 12" 'Bugs' which gathered support from Gilles Peterson on his BBC 6 music show as well as Leon Vynehall, Midland & Deetron. Never content to sit still in one style or genre 'BYS' see's will exploring his love for electro, acid and tripped out left of center house. With more EP's on the horizon for the autumn we find an artist full of inspiration, elated to be back in the studio and enjoying his most fruitful production spell in recent history.
