Archives, a new series presenting the sound of DJs and artists at Moment events, is proud bring you our third installment. For this episode we present a live set by Dutch artist Shoal, performed at the Moment festival last July.
This set has Shoal blending layer upon layer of organic synths and smooth and cozy beats, guiding the listener forward through an experience that is both meditative and hypnotic. Podcast #185 is a very special one, coming at you from a dear friend and London’s hugely cherished, Jin Synth.

We adore Jin for her unique musical persona and magical touch in the realms of ambient, meditative, deep and stirring sounds - which this journey captures beautifully. A poignant and emotive trip, the invitation we needed to allow some ease and momentary comfort and calm to return to our hearts.

We know that techno encompasses freedom and unity, openness and connection and is a celebration of the essence of each of us, the beauty of originality, and the power of people unified by shared values and beliefs. Amidst all the pain and suffering in our world, of which we are all feeling immensely in this moment, as we try to make sense of it all - and of ourselves within it - music grounds us. We find meaning, strength and comfort in the rhythms, friends and soulmates at events, respite, refuge, love and light in all that it embodies and represents. It reminds us to look beyond the workings of the mind into the realms of true humanity, unconditional human connection,  possibility, transcendence and hope, strengthening our connection to our own truth and therefore the truth mirrored back to us by all others, if we open our hearts and minds to where it points us to.

Jin’s mix has been a much-needed reminder of the power of music and we’re honoured that this journey becomes a part of our story too.

Jin will be on opening duties at at our gathering this coming Friday the 3rd of November, bringing her ethereal and mythical sounds to The Pickle Factory.

The 51st episode of vurt podcast features a 70-minute live-recording DJ set from DJ Sodeyama, a key DJ/producer in the Tokyo electronic scene from the 90s to the present. The set was recorded last October at Club Womb in Tokyo.

"Sodeyama's artisanal approach to the decks and meticulously crafted sets explain why he has long been a unique force in the Japanese club scene. Sodeyama has been one of Japan's top techno DJs for the past two decades, with numerous releases on important electronic labels around the world, such as Arpa Records, Moph Record, трип, Dynamic Reflection, Konstrukt, illegal alien, and more. Neel is known for being the mas­ter­mind behind Eniss­lab Stu­dio, a mas­ter­ing and mix­ing stu­dio which is a go-to place for many, if not most, con­tem­po­rary tech­no labels. Neel is also a long time col­lab­o­ra­tor with Dona­to Dozzy, start­ing off with them per­form­ing and record­ing as Voic­es From The Lake, evolving into them co-run­ning the legendary Spazio Disponi­bile label.

2023年最後のPodcast更新は、東京を中心に活躍するSakumaのtechno mix。自身のパーティ”Modest”をWOMBを中心にオーガナイズ。今年はValentino Moraの回でご一緒させて頂きました。Katharsisの2人と同世代ということもあり陰ながら繋がりを感じてきました。
Sakumaらしいスペーシーで走らせるテクノMIXを堪能してください。

Born in Niigata, Japan in 1990. Influenced by metal and experimental bands since childhood, his diverse playing style is precise and dynamic.
In 2015, he moved to Tokyo and started his own party "Modest" in 2017.
Currently, he holds own parties at WOMB, one of Tokyo's leading clubs.
He has played an important role in the Tokyo dance scene by inviting DJ Nobu,Eric Cloutier, Valentino Mora, and others in the past.
He was also a resident of Aoyama OATH for a year from 2017 to 2018.
In addition, he also plays at other major clubs in Tokyo and supports many artists.In 2019, he had played at Dommune at the Setouchi International Art Festival, followed by festivals such as rural, Re:birth, Liquid Drop Groove, etc. In 2023, he had played at Future Terror, one of Japan's leading techno parties, and is expected to make further progress.
He is expected to make further breakthroughs in 2023.
