Originally from New Zealand and now residing in Australia, Bruce was classically trained from age 6 and is now an accomplished multi-instrumentalist.

His experiences as a performer/session musician led him into production, with his main focus now being Media Composition.  He has worked on numerous commercials and promos for such clients as Nike, Coca Cola, St George Bank and McDonalds.

With over 1000 production music releases for libraries including Audio Network, West One Music, Universal, Evolution Media Music, The Home of Happy, KPM, The Box, Twisted Jukebox, Cavendish, Sound Pocket and Addictive Tracks, his music has also been heard on media such as Gaga: Five Foot Two (Netflix), Dead on Arrival, This World Can't Tear Me Down(Netflix), Who Killed Sara (Netflix),Stay Close (Netflix), Westworld (HBO), Ransom Canyon (Netflix), Still Alice (Trailer), Irrational Man (Trailer), Montana Story (Trailer), Home And Away, Coronation Street, Big Brother, X Factor, American Idol and many more.

gyrofield is synonymous with some of the most imaginative drum and bass of the new decade, a central pivot in their broad discography ranging from Noise to Acid Jazz to Techno. 

She defines herself as a musician, writer, queer, neurodivergent, and is currently based in Utrecht.
