The eponymous album strips his trademark sound down to a suite of minimalistic, meditative environments. This isn’t quite ambient, nor is it drone, but slots nicely into the German artist’s discography. 

Leaving listeners in a state of suspense, our premiere dials the drowsy, hypnogogic qualities up to truly mesmeric effect. Quietly cathartic and cloaked in lo-fi haze.

The 38th release of katharsis and our final release of 2023 is the prodigious compilation "Embracing Darkness, Absorbing Light" featuring a vast array of artist beloved by the label. Throughout the grandiose line-up of the 36 tracks, the listener is absorbed by various differing interpretations of the theme outlined in the title of the album. Some of the invited artist went full into introverted progressions and meditative sounds, while others focused on aggressive rhythms or anthemic melodies. But even though the styles and techniques of the songs differ from each other, the artists seem to have some commonality in their sonic palettes that binds it all together in a mutual love for music as a healing force of nature <3

Félix Blume is a sound artist and sound engineer. 
His work is focused on listening, it invites us to live sonic experiences that enable a different perception of the surrounding. He uses sound as a basic material in sound pieces, videos, actions and installations. His process is often collaborative, working with communities, using public space as the context within which he explores and presents his works. He is interested in myths and their contemporary interpretation, in human dialogues both with inhabited natural and urban contexts, in what voices can tell beyond words.
