In 1998 Ferry Corsten and Tiësto teamed up for a project which they called “Gouryella”. The very first release under the Gouryella alias was in May 1999, when the track “Gouryella” got released via Ferry’s “Tsunami” label. The follow up single (“Walhalla”) came out in September of 1999. One year later, in September 2000 “Tenshi", the 3rd Gouryella track  saw its release.
Not long after that, Tiësto decided to leave the Gouryella project.
In 2002, after no release for 2 years, Ferry made another Gouryella track, with the title “Ligaya”.

And after 13 years of silence, Ferry brought Gouryella back! "Ferry Corsten presents Gouryella - Anahera" got released via Flashover Recordings in June 2015: http://flashover.choons.at/anahera
The track got voted as "Tune Of The Year" in A State Of Trance and became the most popular / best sold track in the Beatport Trance Chart of 2015.

The follow up to the amazing "Anahera" got released in June 2016 and is called "Neba": http://flashover.choons.at/neba

In December 2017 the Gouryella mix compilation "From The Heavens" came out.  A very special 500 copies only limit edition box set was released for the fans as well. The box set sold out in less than a week. The regular CD / digital download is still available via http://flashover.choons.at/fromtheheavens

In April 2017 the new Gouryella track "Venera (Vee's Theme)" got released: http://flashover.choons.at/venera
And that one will be part on Ferry's upcoming artist album "Blueprint" as well.

In July 2017 "From The Heavens: The Documentary" will see its release, a special documentary about Gouryella, with interviews  with Armin van Buuren, Markus Schulz, Paul Oakenfold, Above & Beyond, Cosmic Gate, Aly & Fila and others.

Ferry Corsten presents Gouryella

As you might have heard or read, the guys behind Trance Classics started an event on Facebook a while ago. Their goal is to get a true trance classic to the #1 spot of the Beatport Trance Chart. I was very proud when I found out that they decided to pick the track “Gouryella” by Gouryella! As you might know, “Gouryella” is a project that Tiësto and myself started in the year 1999.

In just a few days time, “Gouryella” already made it to the #7 position of the Trance Chart!
Tiësto and myself really like this cool initiative and we find it amazing to see a track that we did together back in 1999, seeing climb the charts that fast!

Because we both support this spontaneous initiative, we decided that we will give all royalties of the track to charity.

So, we will donate all royalties of “Gouryella - Gouryella” to the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC), an independent nonprofit organization, whose mission it is, to create, find and support programs that directly improve the health and well being of children.

Gouryella - Gouryella (Radio Edit)

This month's special Soundcloud upload is "Gouryella" with "Ligaya".

I started up the "Gouryella" project back in 1999, together with Tiësto. "Ligaya" is the 4th track that was released as "Gouryella". The first 3 Gouryella tracks ("Gouryella", "Walhalla" and "Tenshi") are all done by Tiësto and myself. But for "Ligaya" I worked together with Dutch composer / songwriter John Ewbank. In the beginning of the 2002 John and myself started to work on the track. For the title of the track I picked the world "Ligaya", which means "Happiness" in Tagalog (Because my wife is from the Philippines'. The vocal version of "Ligaya" contains vocals done by Dutch singer Patty Gaddum.
 
Next month you can all pick another production / remix of myself and I will upload the most requested one to Soundcloud then.
