This track was originally released back in 2018 with a label. I am re-releasing it now independently after being released from that arrangement. It comes in perfect timing as my collaborator on this track Symphony has dropped the "Lunar" from her artist name and is now moving forward with her birth name of just Symphony (what a beautiful name for a musician right!?). We got brand new artwork created from my dear friend and collaborator Charlie (https://www.instagram.com/aephiclesjourney). 

This track is one that is timeless for me. It is a powerful reminder of going deep into the subtleties, keeping things minimal and hypnotic, and letting that be enough. I still play this track out in my live sets always in new forms and it is one that continues to take me and the community deep.

Indeed, many great performances have been recorded, and we are glad to have them. But I think the greatest performances always elude, the camera, the tape recorder, the pen. They happen in the middle of the night when the musician plays for one special friend under the moonlight, they happen in the dress rehearsal just before the play opens. The fact that improvisation vanishes makes us appreciate that every moment of life is unique - a kiss, a sunset, a dance , a joke. None will ever recur in quite the same way. This very unique trio of music, souls and minds, is Eduardo Castillo's new LIVE project. For our 11th EthnoKast, we invited our https://soundcloud.com/curuba-records friends https://soundcloud.com/psychotropiques, a French duo of DJs, producers and cultural activists. Their musical project started during a trip in Minas Gerais, Brasil, where one of them used to live. Later, they co-founded the multicolored label and collective Curuba in Paris, where they try to develop the downtempo/global bass movement in the alternative scene.

They see their project as a space of musical experimentation, where they blend both their cultural influences (Brasil/Middle-East/Eastern Europe) in a sort of synesthetic and syncretic audio patchwork. Their work focuses on textures, field recordings, percussions and organic sounds, going from slow and experimental brain massages to sample-infused syncopated rhythms.

Now, lay down and enjoy some zen beats retracing the evolution, from swimming in deep waters to jumping from branch to branch in the jungle.

@Samarana ’s track “Fady” is inspired by the powerful voices of Malagasy women from Madagascar mixed with percussive and dark beats. In the traditional Malagasy religion, the “Fady” represents what is sacred, taboo and therefore forbidden for the majority of the community. These social rules were enacted by spirits and ancestors to protect what is sacred. The transgressions of the taboos, the "Fady" will have the effect of diminishing the power of spirits and ancestors in their role of protection.

Premiere: Derrok -  Selva - Mente Orgánica Remix

Coalescence is a journey into the collaborative efforts of friends from around the world. This EP was born in Bali from producers J.Pool and Aleceo who met there and found an affinity with sound medicine man and Sacred World Music producer Kailash Kokopelli. These two up and coming talented producers incorporated the magical sound tapestries of Hernan Suarez, Alunawachuma, Tatyana Kalmykova, and Kama Lila Sol. This rich offering is the fruit of a collaborative effort of all of these musicians bringing their own essence into the project. It is a puzzle which came together with each piece fitting perfectly with the other to create a journey into the heart and grooves to move the body into ecstasy. Coalescence is a testament of coming together to compliment each other as a unity - a body of music which thrives on the strengths of each independent artist complimenting the other. It is perfectly in alignment with the intentions of the label Resueño - to come together to create something special which alone would be impossible.
