IZHEVSKI - AWAKENING

In 2016 I went to -now my dear friend, back then only my favorite DJ- Mira's birthday at Kater Blau for the first time. I was super into music, making mixtapes at home, going to so many parties and writing about them but not a DJ yet.

The vibe of the club, the music in all floors, and the fact that Mira is big supporter of female acts and seeing all these badass women playing mind-blowing music at this party had its mark on me.

Watching these legends Mira, Britta, Mimi Love, Mila Stern, Caleesi, I wanted to do it myself and I found the motivation, courage and inspiration because they were also women like me! Representation is so important!

In the following years I kept going to this party for my yearly dose of inspiration and of course fun!

Over the years, inspired by Mira and being colleagues now, we became friends and her impact on my life wasn't just musical. She's such a wise and wholesome person with integrity and the heart in all in the right places, that having her as a friend and inspiration definitely made me a better person and my journey of the new international touring DJ way smoother.

in 2021 I was even supposed to play for Mira's 44th birthday for the first time but the pandemic... (I mean I don't even need to finish this sentence). I ended up playing her 44.5 in Summer, the Ersatz Katzen party :)

Anyway, fast forward to 7 years and the birthday queen not only invited me to play her 46 Katzen party but also gave me the biggest honor of taking over the stage after her.

Playing Thursday in NYC, Friday in Montreal, flying back to Europe on Saturday, Sunday noon I arrived to Berlin like a zombie. Sleep before and after the set is hard but during... Actually not that bad. I was on a dream state throughout my set.

It felt really like a dream playing in a room not too long ago gave me the inspiration to be here today celebrating a women who always lifts others up as she rises. 

I also played music from my label Marginalia, I heard Mira and Mila Stern playing Marginalia too and I also two new artists from Marginalia family, Bakayan and D’aria were In the room when I played their unreleased music! What a moment 
I stayed sleep dancing until late because of all the incredible music

what an honor to play at this unique birthday celebration, I am grateful to life

We are hugely honoured and humbled to present another instalment of the TDP Presents mix series, from the one and only GVN. We've been lucky enough to see this man in action both on the dancefloor ourselves and as DJ's sharing the booth with him. Our handed over the decks to him twice in 2023 during the events supporting Ilan Bluestone and Genix and it was an absolute honour to do so. He is one of the nicest guys we've ever had the pleasure of meeting and sharing the booth with and his talent speaks for itself, so we are so happy he has put an exclusive mix together for us to share with you.

Derry-born Producer and Supply Teacher GVN, dropped his Anjunabeats debut ‘I Don’t’ in 2021 as a serious statement of intent. First introduced to the label by anamē’s Marcus Schössow, the two would go on to collaborate on the 700th Anjunabeats release, ‘Take Me There’, which earned spins from Lane 8, Anja Schneider, Armin van Buuren, Tibasko, Kryder, Giuseppe Ottaviani and many more.

The Irish native showed no signs of slowing down in the years that followed, serving up remixes for the likes of Lange and Chakra and attracting support from BBC Radio 1’s Pete Tong, Danny Howard and Jaguar. Both tracks on GVN’s last Anjunabeats release, ‘Save Me / Alone’, quickly shot to the Top 10 of the Beatport Breaks Chart.
Now, GVN returns with a fresh double A -side, ‘Thinking About You’ and ‘Believer’, which straddles the line between breakbeat and trance. Expect more new music from GVN in the coming months.

here is my set I played at the legendary Kiosk at KaterBlau in Berlin Sunday night for Britta Arnold's party Grrr mit Brrr ⚫️✖️

KaterBlau for me has always been more than a club, it’s a musical landmark, a playground full of surprises, a cosy and unique space to be free and one of my favourite places on earth! 

the Berlin crowd is very educated. they are in a way even spoiled with good music all the time, yet they are so open and welcoming to anything and you can see and feel that they want to support new and excited faces! 

i felt very comfortable and welcomed behind the decks even though i was beyond excited to play amongst my biggest inspirations and my legs were still shaking towards the end of my set.

the sound of the recording is unfortunately not the highest quality, but i still want to share it with you and i hope you enjoy it as much as i enjoyed playing it 🌟💫 

It was a super fun party. thanks to everyone who came, danced, cheered, showed love.

Elif - Grrr mit Brrr | KaterBlau Kiosk, Berlin [11.03.2018]

Somehow I've ended up in the art school where we have to learn how to be an artist and to work in the team (which is huge and incredibly awesome). Our journey began with an old fable from Ivan Andreyevich Krylov (1814)"The swan, the pike and the crawfish". Long story short — all of them pulling a cart in a different direction, originally commented sceptically on a new phase in the campaign against Napoleon in the coalition of 1814. 

So, we have three releases: Straight beat, Breakbeat, Ambient — for three groups of people.

This is a part of "Pike" release — which was like an appearance for Smoothness (Plavnost in Russian).
