Their waves of innovation and artistry have inspired countless journeys, ours included, long before our own ship set sail.

We honor the trailblazers whose mysterious, innovative, and poetic sounds have shaped the global landscape:
Ryuichi Sakamoto, Yellow Magic Orchestra (YMO), Susumu Yokota, Cornelius, Haruomi Hosono, Midori Takada, Joe Hisaishi, Tatsuro Yamashita, YoshimiO, Hiroshi Yoshimura.

Today, a new wave of Japanese sound dreamers continues this proud tradition, honoring the legends while forging their own paths. To name just a few among many brilliant creators:
