A collection of my songs ive dubbed each a *Slice of PIE*. PIE stands for Partially Improvised Experiment, where each track of the DAW is recorded in roughly one take with no real direction in mind. Getting an engaging, listenable, and uniquely human sound with only single takes and post production is the goal.

If you don't know what Slice of Pie is, the idea is that I come up with a single riff on the fly and then improvise a full song and arrangement off of it, also improvising the layers on top.

This is the first slice of pie with vocals due to the improvisation factor. It is also the first with bass because I recently got a bass. The bass is the focal point.

The vibe I was going for was "Black Sabbath in space" and I think I accomplished that. I don't normally turn these into full songs but for this I plan to because I like it alot and want to perfect it.

This is the fourth installment of Slice of PIE. The idea for these is that I come up with one riff on the fly, then improvise an entire arrangement around it, then add more completely improvised layers. This usually results in an avant garde or trippy sound, trying to get the most of of the single take improvised recordings. This is the first slice of pie with percussion, and also the first I spent more than 2 hours producing it. I was originally going for a purely Midwest emo sound but it gradually evolved into the shoegazey form you see before you.
