This is a field recording captured in the final days before the UK locked down and self-isolation began. I took the opportunity to visit some ancient woodland that would normally be totally engulfed by noise pollution, as it sits on the major European flightpaths to London. Only when there is an absence of noise can you really imagine just how intrusive the planes must normally be to wildlife.

I recorded this metal cable in the high winds of storm Francis to test my impedance transformers. The recording has had very minimal post processing.
