Smashed Atoms aka Steve Gladdis has been making warm underground disco nuggets on the sly for the past decade gaining support across the board. His sleek production skills have gained respect from the likes of Greg Wilson, the Paper Records crew and of course Fingerman and his Hot Digits Music imprint. After the runaway success a few years ago of “Cut This Way” on the label, Smashed Atoms returns with his most accomplished work yet, the “Moving Parts EP” featuring Crazy P style disco anthem “Lifted” featuring the one and only Kathy Diamond on vocals. Its a warm beautiful song about the power of a good beat and what it feels like to be literally Lifted off the floor. A possible future classic. The release also features a sleek Dub Version for those who prefer it. 
Then we move onto more mid tempo deepness with Smashed Atoms teaming up with the mysterious Backdoor Man for “ All The Time”, a perfect warm up track with smoky indie vocal stylings and cheeky nods to 80’s retro lyrics. Hot Gorilla’s Andy Buchan steps up to remix the track for the final cut taking the brooding vocals into more Indie Nu-Disco territory with awesome analog stabs and flurries.

Cutting his teeth hosting and playing parties around Leeds in the mid-naughties, Measures has been djing for the best part of two decades. Within which time he has shared booths with djs from celebrated Leeds nights Technique, Asylum and Dave Beer's legendary Back to Basics.

He left his beloved Yorkshire in 2021 where, in the shadows of the dusty chimneys of industrial Manchester, he has found a new home for the stripped back, left of centre, acid scorched, hypnotic house and techno his selecting is known for.

Beyond The Struttopshere is a sonic collaboration between two DJs channelling their considerable musical production experience and boundless love of cosmic chugging dark disco. Their debut EP ‘New Frontier’ was released on Discolypso Recordings in 2020 and found much acclaim among Andrew Weatherall and Sean Johnston’s A Love From Outer Space online fraternity, also appearing on Juan Mclean’s (DFA Records) contribution to Tim Sweeney’s Beats In Space mix series. This propelled the duo to new heights, leading to highly lauded releases on esteemed labels such as Mélopée Records, Astrolead Recordings, Discolypso, In Dark We Trust, Emerald & Doreen and X-PRESSINGS, and DJ gigs at Glastonbury’s Rabbit Hole, Secret Garden Party, Noisily Festival and Berlin’s infamous KitKat Club among many others. Beyond The Struttosphere’s music is now making sonic reverberations around the globe, hitting the dancefloors of Burning Man, House of Yes NYC, ADE, Fusion Festival, Sisyphos Berlin, and notching up remixes from notable legends of the scene including Shubostar, Rebolledo, Rigopolar, Tegel Boys, Vongold, Badknife, James Rod, Julian Sanza, Roliva, K-Effect and Mufti. The cosmonauts are frequently immersed in the studio, with live guitar now a mainstay of their productions.
