Martin "Youth" Glover is a real legend. The bass player of the legendary Killing Joke basically was one of the first to give form and voice to the budding Goa Trance music in the early 90s on his Butterfly studios in London. He started Dragonfly, the first label dedicated to this music and truly is one of the founding fathers of our culture. Youth is also a legendary producer and a diverse and prolific producer and musician. We are honored to host this mix from him celebrating his own personal 40 years of Trance! Its been way overdue, but finally I can present to you, the 2nd 'Classics' mix. - Once again a trip down memory lane, to the very first years of Iboga Records, between 1999 and 2002.

New fans and followers of Iboga will of course recognize the names BEAT BIZARRE , BITMONX & FABIO , PHONY ORPHANTS and REEFER DECREE who are still going strong, and don't need any further introduction. 
- Beat Bizarre and Reefer Decree even got brand new EPs out on Iboga and Ibogatech, released just recently.

-In this mix I've also included some abandoned projects like..

AUDIOPILE - Martin 'Beat Bizarre Zimmermann & Jacob 'Lurifax' Olsen.

SPY VS SPY - Emok and Llopis. A name used for a few tracks only.

ZEROTONINE - A german project, active a few years around the millennium.

FABEL - A collective of Iboga artists in various constellations, which included Michael Banel, Phony Jeppe, Reefer Oliver, and this time a track produced by Alhad & Emok and then remixed by Llopis. A track i only just recently discovered on the masterdisc for 'iboga EP 19' by Llopis, from back in 2002. 
-Somehow this track never made it to the vinyl, and has remained unreleased ever since.


This 80 minutes journey starts deep, and dark. From minimal to twisted prog-trance. - Classic iboga style, that really made them stand out back then.
Ending in best fashion with some full on Reefer madness, that includes some rare 'vinyl only' bangers, and even an unreleased little pearl. (full tracklist below)


There's a little joker in this mix as well. Can you guess what it is?

Iboga Classics 2

Blue Room is a global union of sonic storytellers and sound artists.  From full moon parties in Khopangan to the many vast dance festivals of Brasil, South Africa and Europe, Marios Makar Trivyzas has been highly active for two decades as a mover and shaker, producer and DJ. We met him in 2020 as he became an official member of Total Eclipse, joining with original founder Stephane Holweck.   

Marios brings something new to the Total Eclipse sound. Here's a chance to understand his groove, audio leanings and deep dance background.

From a young age, AudioFire has been connected to music, he knew after his first clubbing experience in Bar Do-Me, Cape Town, that being part of the dance music scene was his future. With the 90’s underground scene taking off in South Africa, AudioFire, DJ'd at well established clubs around Cape Town, such as Delight, Nexus, G-spot and The Funktion. The vibe was fresh and left an everlasting impression.

Gaining his first experiences as a club DJ in his hometown, he knew that to develop himself further and take on bigger challenges he would need to go where the music was truly cutting edge, London. It is here that he moved through various genres and grew his network of friends and fans, performing at venues such as, Scala, Mass, Camden Palace, Rocket Club to name a few and held down residencies at the Viaduct in Vauxhall and a small but always packed club in London Bridge.

Not content with settling down just to DJ he decided to take things to the next level and focussed on learning music production at the prestigious Point Blank music academy. After a two year intensive course focused on sound design, composition, engineering, production and the art of mixing, he graduated with a diploma and since then he has been working tirelessly composing tracks, remixes and collaborating with a wide array of artists shaping his characteristic sound. His first two releases featured on an album for Deckajam (an electronica band from UK rave scene and household name Kevin Energy) and his original track "All of the lights" was remixed by the very talented Michael Stonebank Monstercat, A.K.A. Rocket Pimp. Other remixes include, 'Serena Ryder - Stompa' and 'Tibby Young - Dance to the beat'.

Fast forward 20 years to Origin festival, South Africa 2015. As a personal guest of global trance legend Sonic Species, it was here where he fell in love with the PSY Trance scene, from the promoters to the artists, the people and of course the music, he now dedicates his time to writing and producing trance and has created the act we all now know as AudioFire.

Here's my set from the fantastic dance:love:hub Xmas Party at Five Miles in Tottenham, London (28th December 2019). It was a full 12 hours of music heaven, surrounded by lovely people and stunning artwork and I have to admit to being absolutely shattered by the end. Every single DJ smashed it and I couldn't stop dancing from 3pm until about 2am, when my legs finally gave out; it was an honour to be on the decks with my fellow residents and our excellent guests. My set was the bridge between the techno /prog and the psytrance from 9-10:30pm. Enjoy!

MANMACHINE - LIVE SET SUMMER 2013

Started mixing back in 2002 with a pair of belt-driven Geminis and a 2-Channel Numark, and learnt to play the hard way at after-party sessions, plugged into a wide-screen television! A few thousand hours of obsessive playing and tinkering later (and a few equipment upgrades)...

Over the last few years: rotating resident at dance:love:hub and a variety of gigs: The Butterfly Effect, Tribal Village, SecretSoma, UFO/Unique Tribe, Psyrhythmix, PSYMERA, J00F Editions, Planet Angel, Trancelucid, Inertia (Brighton), Transcend and Psyology (Birmingham).

A sound that blends a love of  melodies with darker-edged underground sounds, playing a range of styles and genres from atmospheric and progressive techno, through progressive house and underground trance to progressive and full-on progressive psy.

Having a bit of hiatus at the moment due to becoming a daddy...may be back in a year or two! :D
