From the rugged landscapes of the North East to his formative years in the South West, Matt Black’s three-decade odyssey through electronic music stands as a testament to unwavering passion and artistic evolution. When he transplanted himself to London’s vibrant scene in 1991, it wasn’t just a change of address—it was the catalyst for a lifelong love affair with the transcendent power of dance music culture. Though initially captivated by the frenetic energy of hardcore and drum & bass, everything changed when the hypnotic progressions of a John Digweed mixtape found their way to his ears in 1994, revealing the sonic path he was destined to follow.

Matt cut his teeth in South London’s intimate pub circuit, where raw talent and dedication eventually opened doors to his breakthrough club performance in 1995. What followed was a meteoric rise through London’s notoriously competitive underground scene, where his signature blend of melodic textures and driving rhythms earned him coveted slots at industry touchstones. From the sweaty, packed rooms of Empathy in Bristol to the legendary decks of The Gallery in London, and across international borders to Poland and Mexico, Matt’s musical journey has left an indelible mark on dance floors that transcends geographical boundaries.

In the studio, Matt has emerged as a formidable production force with an ear for the sublime. His collaboration with progressive house pioneers Lexicon Avenue on “The Farthest” didn’t merely chart on Beatport—it captivated listeners and DJs alike with its meticulously crafted soundscape and emotional resonance. This success has been far from isolated, with Matt’s musical fingerprint gracing releases on industry powerhouses Perfecto Black, Bonzai Progressive, Balkan Connection, and Krafted Underground. Perhaps most telling is the caliber of support his productions command, with luminaries Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, and Guy J—true architects of the progressive sound—regularly featuring his work in sets that define the genre’s cutting edge.

The airwaves have become Matt’s second home through his twin radio residencies, each showcasing different facets of his encyclopedic musical knowledge. The monthly “Housefeelings” broadcast on Frisky Radio has become a sanctuary for deep, emotive selections, while his enduring “Acoustic Pleasure” show on Proton Radio stands as one of the platform’s most cherished offerings. Both programs consistently attract electronic music’s most respected voices as guests, creating a forum where boundaries dissolve and pure musical expression reigns supreme.

With an arsenal of unreleased material currently being perfected in his studio sanctuary, Matt Black continues to push his artistry into bold new territories. As these forthcoming projects prepare to emerge from the shadows, one thing remains certain: the dance music landscape will be all the richer for having this sonic architect’s vision within it.

In a world defined by stark dichotomies, Zequenx is the embodiment of the grey area, striving to integrate non-duality into electronic music. Born in Kashmir, raised in Chiang Mai, and now based in Goa, Zainab Wani draws from her diverse cultural background to offer a distinct perspective on the art of rave. Having deep roots in psychedelic and counter culture, her music draws from, and combines various schools of thought. This makes it difficult to define , forever existing in the quantum realm of infinite possibilities. 


She wears many hats - DJ, music producer, Ableton Certified Trainer - but above all, she is a passionate raver. Whether she’s dishing out dancefloor heaters through her DJ sets or weaving her personal blend of emotive ambient productions with her live sets, Zequenx has one goal: to create a journey that allows the listener to step outside of the mundane musings of their mind and and traverse through uncharted sonic dimensions. Whether it's acid, electro, various forms of techno or experimental music, she dives in head first to deliver an immersive experience for her fellow listeners. 

As an Ableton Certified Trainer, Zequenx has spent the past 7 years mastering the intricacies of music production and is passionate about sharing her knowledge with like-minded individuals. She has organised numerous workshops focusing on music production and DJing as a means to provide access and create space for FLINTA artists along with offering one-on-one training sessions for aspiring producers. She has recently started hosting Signal Flow, connecting creators through an exchange of skills, sounds and inspirations in electronic music.  

Her singles have been released on homegrown labels like Qilla Records, Antariksh Records, Boxout.fm Recordings, Digital Diaspora Records, FOL Records and international imprints like Avoidant Records (a sub-label of SOMA records) and  Reel Long Overdub for the UK. She has performed at festivals such as  DGTL Amsterdam, Magnetic Fields Festival, VH1 Supersonic, Boxout Weekender, Hilltop Festival, Far Out Left & Earthen.

All uploads are lossless/uncompressed wav files (16 bit 44.1 Khz) ripped directly from the original cd's.
All CD's are from my own personal collection, so some might have some audio artifacts from worn cd's etc. If you do encounter a file with glitches/audio interruptions - please let me know as I don't listen to all the tracks from start to finish.
