Javier Areal Vélez (Buenos Aires, 1985) is an experimental musician, sound artist and cultural manager. 
His recent solo work explores live electronic music through layered (poly)rhythmic systems and human–machine collaboration using samples, synthesis, lights and mechanical devices. He is also known for his experimental approach to prepared electric guitar. 
He has performed extensively across Latin America, Europe, North America and Japan, and  has collaborated with artists such as Violeta García, YOTO, Genosidra, Jorge Espinal,  Shayna Dunkelman, Chris Pitsiokos and Heiner Goebbels.
Javier is the founder of the RUIDO experimental music series and he coordinated the Sound Arts Center (CASo)  between 2021 and 2024.

○ Witches es un proyecto Argentino/Mexicano adepto a cultivar perfección en términos de técnica y experimentación en mezcla.

○ El proyecto se gestiona en 2019, tras la estructuración de sonidos en estudio y la ejecución en Clubs y Open Air, conformado por Paola Ribotta y Halan C.C.

○ Originadores del sello Revolver Inc. y dúo simpatizante de sesiones extendidas del análogo al virtual, estrenan su primer EP denominado "Mr. Teddy Bundy" en verano de 2020.

Tuaya is about moving: baselines that go from techmex riding the 1/16s to hypnotic cumbia-like grooves; textures inherited from prog rock and the psychedelic exploration in krautrock; melodic semitones, dessertic tensions and rhythmic chicha baroque arpeggios; This music is influenced by the beats of the community of creators that made me dance in the first place like Alejandro Paz, Max Jones, Mijo, and Thomas Jackson.
 
Xemedëh is a live act that intertwines oscillating elements to transport the listener into sonic frontiers and internal havens. Its a procession through soundscapes that mix electronic ambient with ceremonial elements. This project is musically curated by Tezteban and Voz Medicina, incorporating visual and other sensorial elements though collaborations with visual artists like Alejandro Marra Mejía to create more than audiovisual dialogues. It is a dream like experience that awakens through light and sonority.
