Good day,

Here Is the problem. When ocean temperatures increase, a few years from now, thousands of billions of tons of carbon emissions will fill the atmosphere and cause mass extinction. In order to prevent this from happening, we need to follow these steps. 

Step one.

Fix Democracy. Right now, lobbies are polluting our democracy. Our politicians are being bribed. New bills are revoking our rights. Our privacy is under attack. Acta, Pipa, Cispa and other such bills, will criminalize most of us. Our civilization is based on unlimited growth. Industrial agricultural methods are diminishing the soil. We see increasing economic inequality. We let private investors do whatever they please. The free market ideology is totally unsustainable and takes away all of our decision making power. The American military industrial complex is out of control and has fucked up the world, propping up military regimes in order to enrich the oil companies. Interest has brought upon our civilization, unrepayable debt. Most of us, live in a state of dispo zession. What we live in is not a democracy, It is a plutocracy, the power is in the hands of the wealthy. 

Let me explain how we can fix democracy. On this website, www.fixingdemocracy.org , the members of the site will have an account. Their account will prove their citizenship. On this site, you will have the opportunity to vote on bills. When you vote from your account, it will be exactly the same as signing a petition. Every time you will click to vote, you will be signing a petition, because your account will prove your citizenship. This will enable us to kill bills that are threatening our privacy and our right to information.

Once we create this, kill switch, for right revoking bills, we can move on. We will be able to deal with problems like poverty and energy. 

Step two.

Once democracy is fixed, here is how we can fix the energy crisis. 

Methane is seeping from seabeds. We have discovered methods to extract seabed methane. Converted into fuel for cars, it produces 50% less emissions than oil-based fuels. If oil companies start extracting seabed methane, we would have more time to extract it before ocean temperatures rise over 5 degrees and two thousand billion tons of carbon emissions fill the atmosphere. 

This will give us enough time to discover alternative energy sources that are less damaging for the environment. If we manage to extract most of the methane and store it, we can save our species from extinction. The stored methane can be converted into rocket fuel for space exploration.
