The featured artists in this compilation have been chosen not only because of their exceptional talent as music producers, but also because of their genuine love and passion for techno music (and music, in general), life, and authenticity as people. Exium can be considered with no doubt pioneers in the spanish techno scene, almost two decades of devotion, passion and work on behalf of what we know as serious and militant music. In their vast career the have released countless vinyls in labels from all over the globe and have spreaded their live sets throught the most respected clubs and festivals all over the place. 

They decide what their pulsations are, can be minimalistic, complex, broken, layered or tooly and precisely, this is the case in this four tracker.

Noncellular life opens fire, and obsessive effected synth line lies over a profound kick and is slowly filled with percussive layers, drums comes in and out while the main hook persists and changes in timbre and texture. A genuine mixing tool. 

Inner mind relies on reverberated toms and sharp percussive elements with the only aid of occasional white noise sweeps, as always a dynamic arrangement made things busy.

On the flip side Inmune response is based on a linear raw sequence soon followed by distorted semi industrial layers while Host range gives us the broken beat dose that they master since ages. Over the complex beats succesive washes and drones fly over, evoquing darkness and pressure.

No jokes in this slice of plastic, aimed for the proper selectors out there.

For their milestone 10th release on their main label series Haven is honoured to be working with celebrated Swedish experimentalist Peder Mannerfelt with a collection of energetic and diverse UK-influenced stompers.

The EP kicks off with ‘Enter Reoccurring Disparity’ on the A1. Fierce synth bleeps, classic drum breaks and creative percussion interplay around the pounding kick in this hectic club banger. Following on the A2 ‘And That Happened’ takes the record in to moody broken beat territory, utilising murky drones and experimental textures alongside wild, morphing drum work in a sludgy mutant roller. The flip-side launches with ‘Stockholm Shuffle’ on the B1 with grimy bass pulses, half-time snares, and ominous atmospheres in the ideal half-way point between dubstep and 4-4 techno. The EP closes with a driving remix from yung Haven main-stay Tommy Holohan. Rolling drum rhythms, vocal chants and nimble synth work propel the track towards its euphoric breakdown and square-bass melody in another impressive track from Ireland’s finest up-and-comer.
