Soma kicks off a new series focusing on upfront techno with SOMA NEU. Set in alignment with Soma's founding ethos of quality electronic music, each part of the series is meticulously curated and aims to direct the uncompromising vision of the label, directly to the dance floor. Featuring a lineup of modern and emerging artists, SOMA NEU pays homage to the roots and raw energy of authentic techno and demonstrates its ongoing evolution. Vol. 1 packs in 11 tracks from new and past label affiliates, spanning dubbed out minimalism to deep atmospheric techno and beyond.

The first artist to kickstart this special trilogy is the mighty SERA J. 

Stepping up to deliver a highly energetic mix, full of his signature sounds he is showcasing his vision of the genre by playing tracks from the VA, his unreleased production and current favourites.

“I’ve know Dimitris for the last 6-7 years almost. Being from the same city and sharing the same passion for techno it was inevitable that we would run into each other. Long before he kickstarted his career internationally we hang out and had long talks about music and the scene in general. ANNĒ | THE RENEGADE SESSIONS 025

Sera J @seraj_official aka Dimitrios Serasidis is a mucisian, techno music composer and dj
from Thessaloniki, Greece. Influenced especially by the Detroit legacy his music can be described as a combination of powerful baselines, strong dynamics with fast grooves and catchy details.

Now he is focusing on his new live set, having his first show at Pattern Berlin & lately at HÖR, in which he presented his first synthetic approach. His live set is full of straight-forward outbreaks representing a futuristic point of view. Being a local artist, for more than 12 years, of executive underground projects in his city, he has shared the booth with some of the most talented international artists like Stef Mendesidis, Ben Klock, Jonas Kopp, Dax J, Paula Temple, SNTS just to name a few.

With strong and very successfull releases, his latest work on Mutual Rytm is a milestone to his career while he made a bigger step to the music scene and his music has gained massive and diverse support, from artists all over the world charting and playing his tracks very often. His future though seems bright while he has already signed new Eps in notable labels later this year. His passion of music is what makes him going up. For him music is a state of mind, interaction, inspiration & creation.

It’s with great sadness I have to tell you that Keir Scales has passed. Alongside Tom Parsons they were TAK Records, one of my all time favourite labels and good friends for over 20 years. So of course this weekends Country Gents Radio Show is dedicated to the memory of Kier and the label. I’m busy preparing tracks and grabbing the records off my shelves.

Craig Hamilton, a Glasgow-based DJ, electronic music producer, and owner of The Outer
Circle. With over 15 years of contributions and support for underground music, he
continues to introduce talented, up-and-coming artists while showcasing his own quality
sound through solid production work and DJ sets across the globe.
He has played at venues and parties in Belgium, London, Romania, Ireland, Dubai, Los
Angeles, Mexico, San Francisco, and Miami for the Winter Music Conference, along
with residencies in Scotland and promoting events under his Mindset and Outer Circle
brands. Drawing influence from disco, funk, techno, jazz and soul, his music largely
represents deep underground house.
His strong affection for music extends beyond his talents as a DJ and producer. With
original tracks and remixes released on respected house labels like Tango, Robsoul
Recordings, Bienaimer Music, Bare Bones Wax and more, his exceptional skills and
dedication have made him a favorite among international underground DJs like Chris
Stussy, Traumer, Martinez Brothers, SY, Rossi, Mark Farina and Phil Weeks.
With a commitment to advancing the genre, expect continued international gigs, along
with many future releases on The Outer Circle and other labels as he continues to inspire
and shape the future of underground house music.
