October 2013 will see the reissue of 26-year old American composer Peter Broderick's 2008 debut album Float. Returning to his home in Oregon, where his musical journey began, Peter completes the circle with the release of Float 2013. Remastered by the gifted hands of Nils Frahm, Float 2013 will also include two additional bonus tracks with each album download and will be reissued on CD, vinyl, digital and even on a limited edition cassette via Erased Tapes. The album release will also be accompanied by Float 2013 Addendum, a 7” single featuring ‘Something Has Changed’ re-arranged as a duet for violin and viola, with the new title ‘Something Has Remained’.

Brought up in a musical household in Oregon, Peter quickly became a popular session musician for the likes of M. Ward in the Portland area. Later discovered by the Danish band Efterklang he joined their live band and spent the next six years based in Europe where he collaborated with many like-minded contemporaries. Through relentless touring, multiple album recordings and film scores Peter has established himself as a solo artist, known for his innate gift as a musical medium to picking up any instrument, turning his musings into poignant songs.

Having previously released ‘Ten Duets‘ on cassette tape, Peter is a big fan of this format and is excited to be taking part in Cassette Store Day on September 7th 2013. Float 2013 will be available in store in a hand numbered limited edition of purple cassettes in bespoke packaging. Atlas collects what could be considered Ulises Conti’s most distinguished recording works throughout his 10-year solo career. The selection reveals a great sound display that generates musical spaces and landscapes of a beauty that is unusual in today’s scene, which stresses the timbral element (piano, French horn, viola, lap steel, etc.) This is only a brief sample from his productions as a musician, because his work also expands on other disciplines such as film, visual arts, dance and theater, as the composer of soundtracks, installations and other sound research projects. He is one of the Argentine composers with the most potential and international projection considering his powerful and inspiring work.

Machinone, an enigmatic artist who composes music based on "town (Machi)" in the broad sense of the word, will release his third album. Acoustic guitar and small piano are spun in a simple and gentle manner.
On top of variously designed instruments and objects, a faintly imaginary world rises up and opens a new door.

Following the 1st album Tokyo, which depicts the west side of Tokyo, and Pieni, which expresses the compassion for the towns and small things in our memories, Machinone's third album is an imaginary wind letter that has arrived in our time. Using the title "Wind Letter" and the melody of the title track as a clue, Wind Letter was constructed with a slightly sci-fi story in mind. In addition to the gut guitars, small pianos, banjos, and prepared guitars that characterize Machinone's music, this album also features triangular analog string synthesizers, cheap keyboards, triangles, and denden taiko (Japanese pellet drum). The result is a varied and, in some songs, magical ensemble. From the keywords that influenced the album, such as Draisine, Chacun cherche son chat (Cédric Klapisch), Niewinni Czarodzieje (Andrzej Wajda) and Frank Patterson's Cycling Eutopia, as well as the stories brought by the various invisible forms of wind indicated in the song titles, may give you a sense of longing for the near future and the past that does not exist, and a soft look at contemporary society. The world changed dramatically during the making of this album, and the songs that were created to dispel this change are a collection of small pieces that have a hint of brightness and comicality, and give a sense of a new swing for Machinone as a musician.

Having been available exclusively as the second disc to 2015's 'Collaborative Works', Ólafur Arnalds and Nils Frahm's improvised audio recordings 'Trance Frendz', taken from their 45-minute studio film of the same name, have been given their own vinyl release – out March 4th, 2016.

Prior to a string of collaborative Erased Tapes releases, which include 2012's 'Stare' 10” and last year’s 'Life Story Love and Glory' 7” and 'Loon' 12” – compiled on the 'Collaborative Works' 2-CD set, Ólafur Arnalds and Nils Frahm spent many hours together in their studios across Berlin and Reykjavik. Both have carved out genre-defying musical careers and formed unique live shows, creating a fan base loyal to their prolific output.

During a session at Durton Studio in Berlin last summer, Nils and Ólafur invited Alexander Schneider and his camera to document it. The recording continued long after the first take, stretching out into the next day until, eventually, several new improvisations had been recorded in 8 hours with no overdubs or edits. The unexpected nature in which these pieces had been created was reminiscent of their first on-stage improvisation many years ago. It became immediately clear how special these songs were.

Originally made available as a 45-minute film on their joint website (www.arnaldsfrahm.com) last September, 'Trance Frendz' will be available to own on vinyl from March 4th, 2016.

White Forest is dedicated to animals including whales, dolphins, coral reefs, sea turtles, as well as cats in the city and birds in the mountains. Along with “Ocean” is the series of Cicada’s work themed with marine and land.

“Dolphins Leap” proceeds with different speeds to imitate spinner dolphins and risso’s dolphins. “Used to be Home” portrayed the impact of offshore wind energy caused on white dolphin’s habitat from their point of views. “Whale Family” is about humpback whales caring and raising babies. “White Forest” starts from the dreamy coral reef spawning into their bleaching due to seawater warming. Cicada’s attempts are to describe the relationship between human and its impact on ocean and animals.

Los efímeros (The ephemeral ones) is the last album of the Argentinian composer and sound artist Ulises Conti. This orchestral work divided in 10 small movements was recorded in 2018 in the auditorium of the Usina del Arte in Buenos Aires. This project with fifteen musicians in scene, whose chamber music reminiscences represents the most classical side of the composer, seems to be the answer to his previous works; among which after a long way of varied styles, goes from electronic music IDM, ambient and field recordings to solo piano pieces.

Over the years, Ulises Conti has developed personal projects as the lecture performance, the soundwalks and concerts for an audience of one; but also works in collaboration with more than fifty soundtracks for dance, films and theatre plays. Nevertheless, Los efímeros is his neoclassical statement; where it outlines his predilection for the French horn, harp, viola and bassoon.
