At the NYE 2013/14 power hour with 100% vinyl at a meanwhile famous WWII spot somewhere in Cologne. Done here in a 4:14 take of a 6 hour "Psycho Thrill phuture classic"/ b2b-set by Cologne's Techno pioneers CLAUS BACHOR and ROLAND CASPER, with reference to the BALLHAUS/ 42dp/ KIT CLUB / ARTHEATER/ SENSOR periods as well as the 2011/16 "BNKR ALRM" presence ( ... light human mix errors included cause we're definitely no mix-robots). That mixwerk finally live recorded and mastered by our label-mate Andreas Eller. 

There's NO track listing consciously available. People who know, know ... the rest should internalize and enjoy the music by itself!

Our 40th Astrocast installment comes from UK-based producer by the name of Morgan Hislop, whose compelling tracks caught our attention last year and landed him at the 1 spot on Atlantics Volume 3. Hislop is himself a drummer and in addition to producing music, also creates graphic and video art. These creative impulses can be heard through this mix, which is as sonically engaging as it is eclectic. Enjoy!

His trumpet work is featured on the lead single of Photay's forthcoming album release and as a solo producer he is compelling in his own right. Psycho Thrill resident ROLAND CASPER startin' the kick to the power hour at the final chapter of the famous BNKR ALRM spot somewhere in Cologne (01:00-03:00 am) in a typically long tripping as mesmerizing Techno set, like he is best know for since the early nineties. That rave finally went like all those legendary “bnkr alrm” nites before, where the sweat always dropped from the ceiling while people started to dance their asses off like hell. Luv-n-respect goes first to the whole awesome BNKR family (crowd and crew) through all those adventurous years and also to all the other involved DJ friends and companions of that nite like Johannes Volk, Claus Bachor, David Langer, Anabasine, Thorsten Hoffmann, Kavaro etc. ...

This mix is also dedicated to BOB MONTAGUE, who has passed away peacefully after a long illness in the morning of dec 13th. Also well known under his nickname Punjabi Bill, the famous creator of Cologne's "Ifficial Art / BNKR Project", has been one of PSYCHO THRILL Cologne's best friends and one of his biggest supporters and wise mentors of the last 25 years. He's still gone now but will never be forgotten. R.I.P. / Thank U and Chapeau BOB !!

UNKNOT03 features explorations of dense and warped rhythmical textures (‘Strain’, ‘Vapor’), combined with fast-paced and propulsive pieces (‘Lockt’, ‘Corrosion’). The sound palette remains consistent with the previous releases, where raw synthetic sequences are deployed to shape grooves and melodic lines and to ultimately create alienating artificial soundscapes.
