For this new edition we have the promising Mikrotakt. He is a producer/DJ that focuses on fast paced percussive grooves. Having come from a more hypnotic background, once Mikro discovered grooves there was no turning back as he was hooked. His recent moves have resulted in a residency at the amazing label @differentsoundofficial from Tbilisi, Georgia. Currently he resides in London where he means to do his part in promoting grooves and help develop the scene there as best he can.  His strong releases can be found on labels such as @trau-ma and @canticle-records.

Some time ago I asked Donato to compile the “Rome” edition of the 200th podcast for electronique.it.

His response to this challenge is a techno mix that I can best describe as an intense, intimate and evocative portrait of the reality that is Rome. While drawing on a wide range of source material and inspiration from the past, he constructs a deeply personal mix that is directed towards the future. It is, in a word, epic!

To celebrate 20 years of building Labyrinths, we have decided to release one set from each of the last ten years. I've chosen ten timeless moments that both document the history of the event and provide a historical snapshot of underground electronic music over the past ten years.

We have chosen a broad range--from closing techno sets, to morning ambient sets, to experimental sets to close the night. Each set represents a different side of the event. Taken together, they present a portrait of a decade of music.

The Labyrinthの20周年を記念して、過去10年間を振り返り、それぞれの年からひとつのミックスをピックアップすることにしました。イベントの歴史を記録すると同時に、過去10年間のアンダーグラウンドエレクトロニックミュージックの歴史的なスナップショットを提供します。今聞いても色褪せない、タイムレスな極上のミックスをお楽しみください。

テクノのクロージングセットから、朝のアンビエントセット、そして夜を締めくくるエクスペリメンタルセットまで幅広いセレクトですが、どのセットもThe Labyrinthの欠かせない側面を表しており、ここ10年におけるエレクトロニック ミュージックの全容とも言えるでしょう。

Archives, a new series presenting the sound of DJs and artists at Moment events, is proud bring you our third installment. For this episode we present a live set by Dutch artist Shoal, performed at the Moment festival last July.
This set has Shoal blending layer upon layer of organic synths and smooth and cozy beats, guiding the listener forward through an experience that is both meditative and hypnotic. Shoal mastered the set himself, so we’re delighted to bring you the most ideal version of the performance. Sit back, listen, and drift away.

MZR, born in 1988 and based in Berlin,MZR is a techno DJ and producer who began his career in 2008 under various secretive aliases. 
He later settled on using MZR as his main stage name. Alongside his partner, KETCH, he established the label SYXT, which quickly became known as a vital part of the Berlin techno scene. 
MZR is known for his dynamic and energetic 4 Deck DJ sets, characterized by fast, groovy, and loop-based techno.

He has especially solidified his imprint in his hometown, gaining mass respect from peers and party goers a like. The name Hashashin represents his Arabic roots.

He is known for his high energy sets, mixing deep rolling baselines with up tempo hypnotic sounds. With Hashashin, expect to be taken on  a mystic voyage through the unknown. But one thing is for sure, you can’t leave the dance floor.

With a musical library spanning multiple sub-genres, tempos, and decades, Lobster always has the fitting track ready to be played out, scouting the dancefloor for the perfect moment.

Rote Sonne invites Lobster | Podcast 138

Turkish-born and Prague based DJ and producer Pink Concrete is known for adding ‘pink touches to concrete music’, essentially adding upbeat and playful touches to Techno, both when producing and mixing. Pink Concrete relocated from Istanbul to Prague in 2015 and is inspired by the city’s rich electronic underground scene. He contributes to the scene with various event series: small, underground parties called Kave, Pinkies club nights and recently developed label and light and sound centric event project hereandthere. Pink Concrete has graced the decks in cities such as Berlin, Amsterdam and Paris for venues and event series such as Berghain, Lofi and Spectrum Waves. 

Pink Concrete’s productions are groove-based and up-tempo yet evoke a sense of nostalgia. His mixes can incorporate different genres, from Hard and Hypnotic Groove to House and Breaks. This groovy mix incorporates driving basslines with melancholic melodies to create an introspective feel.

Through a chiselled selection of cuts both surgical and eerie - combining the haunting nature of deep, texturally lavish dubs with that of clinically arranged dance floor-destroyers, he has us swaying in a state of spooky stasis, zoning out further and further into trance-like abandon as the groove etches deeper.
