Exos is one of the most experienced and respected artists within the circuit of techno and dub techno in Iceland. Active since 1997, Exos has released three albums and more than twenty singles, along with collaboration with the likes of Steve O'Sullivan, Ben Sims, Mark Broom and Dj Rush and Nina Kraviz. In 2017 Exos is opening his own label called "Invisible Limits" (IVl) releasing music from friends, favorites and himself. He gives us a mix here of his favourite tracks from the last 12 months, this is his first podcast in 3 years!

The Untouchables - Fibreglass

Having already released a slew of killer releases for labels like Dirtybird, Relief and Pets Recordings, Kill Frenzy, lands on W&O Street Tracks for a fine trio of tracks.

“101” comes raw and funky, with its roots clearly in the Chicago jack trax style; pounding drums and an incessant looping top line weave their magic for a real brain scrambler of a track, the breakdown sure to send many into unchartered territories!

“202” is a collaboration with Chambray (Ultramajic/Unknown To The Unknown), and the guys serve up a similarly dynamic slice of dark warehouse techno vibes.  Haunting ambience and distorted kicks combine perfectly in this industrial tinged banger.

Bringing up the rear, “Slow” furrows a deeper path, the vocals bringing a soulful edge to this dense and potent production.  Dubby chords and fathoms deep bass all make for a hypnotic groover of the highest order.

Tim van Paradijs is a dj, producer and label owner best known by his alias Invite (@invite-1). With an unwavering focus on music for more than two decades, Tim has established himself a  rm position in the techno community, allowing him to share his talents in clubs all over Europe, as well as Russia and Asia.
At his Utrecht-based studio, Tim combines the old with the new, using old-fashioned analogue machines to complement the latest recording and post-processing techniques. Tim’s DJ sets are a unique combination of old records coupled with the best of what modern day techno has to offer.
In 2015, Tim launched his label, Invite’s Choice Records; a concept through which he aims to spread his love for electronic music as a whole and more speci cally, techno music. Besides the label, the Invite’s Choice project currently also includes a well-received podcast series and his popular Label Nights, a showcase of talented artists.
