Influenciado desde joven por sellos como Blueprint, Theory, Prímate o Warm Up entre muchos otros Xorpel siempre ha intentado rebuscar en lo más hondo de la industria para sacar el sonido que más se asemeja a su carácter.

Sus sets se mueven desde el Techno hipnótico, repetitivo y contundente hasta el sonido más groovy o hardgroove pasando por toques de electro o EBM.
Actualmente es residente de Ethos Alternative Club y Pomafest en Madrid, donde también es promotor junto a sus socios Symbiosis, Werc, Dani Duran y Root Noise.

Under the aka Xorpel, this Madrid born 1994 and based in Berlin is always looking for innovation and contrasts in his sets. Influenced from a young age by labels such as Blueprint, Theory, Prímate or Warm Up among many others, Xorpel has always tried to dig deep into the industry to find the sound that most resembles his character.

His sets range from hypnotic, repetitive, hard-hitting techno to groovy, hardgroove, electro, EBM and many other styles. He is currently a resident of Ethos Alternative Club and Pomafest in Madrid, where he is also a promoter together with his partners Symbiosis, Werc, Dani Duran and Root Noise.

MARRØN, known for his rhythmic sound driven by his roots, has curated a hypnotizing mix exclusively for Float Records. The mix is released as a limited mix CD containing 31 unreleased tracks by up and coming talents and established artists from the techno landscape. Next to the CD, all tracks are released separately as a VA.  

A word from MARRØN: When I was approached to do a cd mix for Float Records with my complete input from a dj perspective, I was nothing but honored and motivated to create something special. I’ve selectively chosen producers who I feel musically connected to and those who could use a push in their young careers. It’s important for me to be able to give back to the scene as much as it gives me. 

This mix and all the tracks selected are mainly focused on the key elements I wish for in techno, which is having a locked in groove and rhythm throughout the whole duration of time. Pushing for detailed minimalism and pace that keeps you in a driving energetic mood. Punchy variated low ends but never too heavy, a mix that brings the club dancefloor to wherever you are listening to it.

With eight fresh tracks for the modern dance floor, Token writes another chapter of the Fuga series. Challenging new faces to complete the label’s sound, Fuga V is another focused compilation that balances spatial detail and rhythmic bite. 

Bubbly yet cosmic synth work opens the VA convincingly, a record for true Token fans. Dissonance, delay, slithering pads, and the occasional thundering 909 clap make ‘Partenope’ by Singular Anomalies an obvious choice as an opening, retaining the label’s original sound with a nice twist. With Singular Anomalies staying light on rhythm, Ketch quickly turns up the intensity with his contribution ‘Whispers’. Plowing through the ambiance with a heavy kick, the producer lines up a track of percussive melodic harmony with a moody groove. The followup by Justyn Nell, ‘Amaranth’ employs a classic, distorted bassline that runs persistently throughout the track with playful 909 work for the drums. A full force club controller now passed, the followup by DHÆÜR delves back into vast open spaces for a close-eyed, mental experience. ‘Sculpting the Mind’, appropriately named, breathes through with opening and closing background textures along a loopy lead. The introspective quality of this track is continued by Maasym, who takes things in an almost tribal direction with hypnotic wooden textures. ‘Intermediate Direction’ is a progressive addition to this edition of Fuga that serves as a dancefloor brain-soother. Taking things back to the roots with some old school machine work, we have ‘Black Hole’ by Ray Kaijoka. A nice psychotic arp leads the listener along into a surprisingly melodic arrangement supported by infectious drums, all of which is expertly crafted for club movement. Taking a dive, Kameliia gives us ‘Point of View’ which boasts a powerfully round low-end and an intense progression with far off strings that add a warm cinematic feel. Serious and effective, ‘Point of View’ is a track communicating tone and mediation. To close Fuga V, the dup Kashpitzky & Casual Treatment take matters into their own hands with a very high intensity record ‘Diffusion’. Huge cut transitions, saturated drums pushing the limit with a loud clap, and laser-like lead make for an impressive last chapter of Fuga V.

Connwax celebrates its 10th release with a diverse four-track EP featuring contributions from Carlotta Jacobi, Oliver Rosemann, Justyn Nell, and Red Rooms. Connwax 10 presents a well-rounded selection of dancefloor-effective techno tracks, each offering its own unique energy and character.

Carlotta Jacobi opens the EP with “Stories Untold”, an intense floor-filler that blends bleepy synths with crisp and punchy percussion, creating an impactful introduction. Following up on the A-side, Oliver Rosemann’s “Infected” takes a more raw approach, channeling classic 90s techno vibes with eerie synths.

On the B-side, Justyn Nell’s “Tiles” delivers a deeper, captivating sound, merging demanding percussion and layered textures. Red Rooms wraps things up with “Undercover Expeditions”, a dreamy, flowy track that takes the listener to another sphere.

During a summer journey through Italy, Avant.OCS recorded the textures that surrounded them: whispers of wind, sun-cracked woods, and fragments of nature scorched under a relentless sun. Upon returning home, these organic impressions were fused with modular explorations, blending natural elements with synthetic sound. The resulting EP moves through hypnotic, molten rhythms and raw, tactile atmospheres. This sixteenth release in the core Knowledge Imprint catalogue marks an important milestone (a good 7+ years after its inception) as it welcomes the first solo EP by a South African producer other than the label owner himself. Justyn Nell - @justynnell - has already been making waves in his own right with releases on prominent labels and performances at well-respected venues across the globe. So, it is with great delight that he joins the label roster for a strong 4-tracker like only he can do.

The A-side is occupied by ‘Erebus’ and ‘Obsidian’, both of which have the distinct character of Justyn’s more tool-oriented techno production style. With sharp synths, hypnotic loops, precision percussions and classic call-response tension, these are tracks that are made for peak dance floor moments - no frills, no fuss. On the other hand, the B-side’s ‘Perceived Depth’ and ‘Solstice’ show a different side to Justyn’s usual stylistic tropes. Make no mistake, you’ll still get a full dose of techno, but this time with more hypnotic and emotive qualities that reveal a welcomed development in the artist’s sonic palette.
