​Norwegian newcomer Gundelach’s debut single comes in the form of the the soulful Spiders. Fans of Movement take note, Gundelach makes music in a similar vein. With his debut EP being released early next year we are now treated to an exclusive bit of remix action from the project. Fellow Nordic resident Finnebassen takes the track and injects an extra layer of drums and soft synth pads to craft together beautiful piece of late night melancholy. Hit play.

Premiere: Gundelach - Spiders (Finnebassen Remix)

Olivier Mateu (Rodriguez Jr.) will be the first to admit it; he’s never satisfied. From his time as a mathematics student in his nascent rave days in the French city of Montepellier, to the itchy musical feet that would only grow as the years progressed, and his time as one-half of influential live act The Youngsters on Laurent Garnier’s FComs label, he’s always striven to push himself to the next level – both creatively and technically.

With each release, you can simultaneously get the sense of an exquisitely talented artists who is grafting to get the most out of himself and his machines, while being astonished at the creativity and intricate sound design of his work to create stirring dancefloor-ready compositions that sound just as good a club or festival, as they do through a pair of headphones during a home listening session.

The generous four-track work is lead by title track ‘Petropolis’ - a master study in tension and release, the stripped back techno beats, summon the kind of sweat-dripping off-the-walls transcendental rave experience that’ll have you grinning for days afterwards. ‘Capitelle’, is vintage Rodriguez Jr., uplifting and melancholic in equal doses and is propelled by a muscular, compression-heavy bassline that builds towards a sublimely trippy crescendo.

Always one to technically stretch himself, ‘Sulfuric State’ sees the savvy sound technician utilize his beloved 303 not for a distorted, full throttle acid onslaught, but rather something far gentler; a mesmerizing and emotive nine-minute trip through time and space. The first sneak peek from the Frenchmen’s upcoming album, ‘Cily’ sees the tempo drop into dreamy ‘90s house territory, with subtle references to the classic French touch sound, but re-imagined in Rodriguez Jr.'s own fresh original way.

Fresh from stellar recent performances in Germany, UK, Portugal and Spain, Fatima is now looking to follow up on the success of her previous Silver M EP releases (Silence, Ghost and SLV MOON) with one of her finest to date, an essential 5-track offering comprising of three original tracks and two stunning remixes.

The EP's title track 'Melodream' kicks things off, taking the listener on a rip-roaring ride encompassing; a driving four-to-the-floor rhythm, a manipulate guitar-esque synth melody and an excellent use of effects. 

Next is 'Hammer', a gritty high-octane roller which features a pounding lo-fi drum track, an array of scattered synth stabs and powerful bass frequencies. 'Star' follows on to complete the trio of Original tracks, delivering and tough relentless groove with a commanding synthetic bassline and intense builds.    

The first of the two remixes is next up, seeing the UK-based rising Techno talent Rudosa rework 'Hammer' by unitising only some of the Original's elements and delivering a peak-time dancefloor weapon full of synth stabs and pounding beats. Concluding the release is Japan's established DJ/producer duo Drunken Kong who put their own spin on 'Star', serving up an intense dancefloor workout with a hypnotic groove and lush pad tones.

13th August sees rising US-based DJ/producer Michael Wenz make his debut on Fatima Hajji’s distinctive techno imprint, Silver M, with his brand new Don’t Be Ridiculous EP.

The talented American has been DJing across The States since 1999 and boasts a plethora of acclaimed releases on labels such as; Toxic Recordings, Betrieb Records, Drop Bass Network, DRUMASHEENz, Naked Lunch, Noise Complaint, Analogate, Aktivists, Audioworx, Chronic Cutz and Elektrax.

Wenz’s first outing on Silver M sees him deliver a substantial 3-track EP featuring ‘Final Warning’, ‘Sedentary Lifestyle’ and ‘We Have Lost Control’. All three tracks have been designed to take the listener on a joyride of unadulterated Techno, comprising of pounding beats, twisted synth melodies and powerful bass frequencies.

In addition to the new forthcoming ‘PLAY! 04 Live in Melbourne’ release, Oliver Huntemann is also releasing an EP comprising two dark tracks that are awash with his unique musical stamp.

The last six months have been fantastic for Oliver. His concept album ‘Paranoia’ demonstrated a new diversity in his creative output, and provided fans with a collection of songs that were equally suited to home-listening and club soundsystems. Similarly, the new EP continues to deliver on quality, and serves up two productions influenced by his time down under.

On the A side is Tasmanian Tiger, a pulsating, warbling, synth driven track whose breakdown gives way to a teasing peak-climbing journey before the track’s mesmorising crescendo. A track that is certain to be used by headliners in peak time slots in the coming months.

Side B is ‘Melbourne’, which also features on CD1 of the new ‘PLAY!’ compilation. It involves dark, deep and driving drum patterns, but also synths that give off the intensity and warmth of a hot sunny day. Hefty amount of heads-down hands-up moments throughout this one.

Oliver is one of the few revered producers in the scene who is unrivalled in his ability to construct deceptively intricate yet powerful songs.This is illustrated by the fact that he has remixed the likes of Underworld, the Chemical Brothers and Depeche Mode.

Florian Meindl is a multi-talented and multi-faceted artist, who is renowned for his technical
prowess.
Producing for over fourteen years, Florian has become known for his deep, grooving powerful
techno. His productions are characterised by his love of analog, which represent his true signature
sound.
2006 saw the inception of Florian’s label FLASH Recordings. The label showcases Florian’s musical
vision, reflects his taste and gives him tracks for his DJ Mixes. A platform for artists that Florian
likes, FLASH has had over 130 releases already including tracks from Heron, Electric Rescue, Jamie
Anderson, Alignment, Hans Bouffmyhre & Avgusto.
In May 2015 Florian released his second solo album ‘Collide’ to critical acclaim. The album was
clearly influenced by Florian’s transition from producing almost entirely digitally for thirteen years
to recording mainly analog jamming sessions and editing the end results after on the computer. The
technical aspect is integral to Florian’s musical journey that he takes the listener on. His talent lies
in enabling the machines to speak and groove, to connect with them and create sounds and
patterns.
In addition to solo releases and numerous collaborations with international artists, and remixing the
likes of Hot Chip & Royksopp, Florian is busy with his sound design brand Riemann Kollektion and
Riemann Modular which is his new studio gear company specializing in Eurorack Modules.
As a DJ, live performer, studio producer and sound designer, Florian has over the years established
an impressive producing base for himself in his Berlin based Riverside Studio complex with an
exciting hardware set up including Modular Systems, an analog mixing desk as well as classic
machines like Roland 909.
After fourteen years of international performances and production, Florian has developed a special
connection with his analog equipment, letting them speak for him in music where words just aren’t
possible. His third album will be released in February 2017 in combination with a worldwide full
analog live act tour.
